- Huge campus and undoubtedly one of the biggest campuses in Dehradun.
- There's a huge sports complex inside the university as sports are given a lot of importance at the university.
Dislikes
- Though law department is one of the most decorated department of the university, there's aren't much communities or society's from our department.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Law is one of the most decorated course not just in India but globally. Hence, choosing law was natural as it supported my natural ability of debating and proving my point. Our course comes along mandatory internships so we are prepared for real world opportunities before even our course is finished.
Placement Experience :
Companies only entertains the final year students so before that, one can't sit or apply for the placements though University. Almost all top law firms from Juristech, to Trilegal or Khaitan, they all have their eyes on students from ICFAI Dehradun. Apart from that many corporates too have shown interest in students of our university. Only 50% of the students sir for placements and out of which 80% do get placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year I joined in 2020, the fees was 1.1 lakhs and now I am in my final year and the fees that I paid this year is 1.3 lakhs. Hence, an increase of 18% has happened since I enrolled. The fees though is quite reasonable as ICFAI, Dehradun is indeed a premier institute and fees is even lesser than lower ranked NLUs. For reserved category students indeed the fees is less depending upon which category they are whether SC/ST, OBC or EWS.
Campus Life :
Lamour was our department event that took place last year and apart from that too ICFAI hosts events all around the year. The campus is huge as it is spread across in more than 50 acres of land. A canteen to die for and sports facilities to being memories of childhood again. ICFAI university has done everything to make sure students stay in best mental health at the University.
Admission :
Here the admission process is through a interview process. All those below 2000 ranks in CLAT for general category and 10000 for reserved category, no interview or screening otherwise interview process becomes the way to get a berth at ICFAI University, Dehradun's law department.
Faculty :
Law has around 200 students for each year batch and to take care of them, there are around 20 odd numbers of faculties. So 1:10 is the exact ratio and all of them have both teaching and law practice experience with them. Like every other law faculty, our each semester lasts 4 to 4 and a half months in which we have a mid exams and the final semester exams.
