- Placements have made ICFAI Dehradun one of the highest ranked law institute in the country as students from here are placed in top law firms and corporate houses every year.
- Since many lawyers from the city take guest lectures, our internships are sorted as they offer us intenrships directly.
Dislikes
- Hostels are pathetic and so are the paying guests close to the campus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
From secury laws to every single laws, our course covers all aspects of the law. From the second year, we can choose electives accordingly and can be a master of what subject we want. I wanted to be a pro in corporate law and ICFAI has covered all aspects of that to make us understand how the legal system works in India. In law, internships are mandatory as books alone won't reach you everything so college helps us with intenrships where we can experience the real world challenges and prepare ourselves accordingly.
Placement Experience :
The placements cell of the university is where we can enroll after the second year. There's just one rule that we should have no backlogs while entering the final year and should have done minimum required internships. If we are versed with that then banks and auto companies who have been in partnership with the university make sure that they get good enough work force from our campus with a handsome paycheck.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Total fees that I have paid this year is 1.25 lakhs. Registration fees is paid in the first year and then it's flat 1.25lakhs as it was 1.2 lakhs last year. For merit holders some discounts are awarded and similarly to the students of under privileged categories too. In EWS cases, entire tuition fees is waived off but that's one off cases.
Campus Life :
Fests are changing every year as its more of events rhan fests. Students, or the committee's that organized rhe event named them and therefore there's no one single fixed fest here at the university. For sports lovers, ICFAI Dehradun is a boon as we have ample sporting facilities to choose from. From football to tennis we have numerous sporting facilities available at the campus.
Admission :
Eligibility process is simple as every student has to go through an interview where basic questions are asked. Finally, we had to justify that we are choosing law not because of peer pressure but because we feel, we are good enough to pursue it. So if you are into ICFAI University law program means you are clear and if there's any doubts, the faculties will make sure you have clarity soon.
Faculty :
Faculties here are all ears to students queries and that quality is enough to sum up as all our questions are answered. Their expertise with teaching is because apart from decorated teaching experience they are also well versed or aware of how law system works in India. They have worked at the courts before becoming a full time teacher and that certainly gives them and edge.
