- The annual fest "Grafest" organised by the institution is the most awaited programme by the entire college students and as well as the faculties. It is a three day fest which includes famous singers and Dj's performing their best tracks.
Dislikes
- The college has started to focus on academics more and leaving behind the other extra curricular activities.
- The college uniform kit amount is not added in the fee structure which I feel they should so that the parents can think about buying it from the college premises or buying it from outside of the premises.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is perfect and followed by every faculty member of the Institution. The only change that I feel should be there is that they should focus on a more approachable manner of teaching where the student's will to learn increases, and he or she gets more interested in gathering more knowledge and starts taking more interest in the respective subject or topic.
Internships Opportunities :
There are various internship opportunities provided by the college, such as Internship with Wipro, Times of India, Amazon, Bajaj Finserve and many more brilliant organisations, which help you in developing your skills and helping you grow.
Placement Experience :
The placements of the college are great; many companies visit the institution for placements, such as Cognizant, Accenture, Amazon, Unimrkt, etc. But this year less number of companies visited the institution maybe because of recession but still a good amount of companies visited the organization.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The yearly fee for Graphic Era Deemed University, Dehradun, is around 6.8 Lakhs. The tuition fee per semester is 1,93,200, and the scholarship is based on the percentage you received after Graduation. A One-time payable fee includes the Admission Fee, Enrolment Fee and Caution Money (refundable). Other charges include the Examination fee, Library fee, Insurance fee (per year), student welfare fee, Sports fee, PDP and Transportation fee.
Campus Life :
The overall experience at Graphic Era was wonderful and insightful as well. I learned a great deal about English Literature and its history during my bachelor's and Marketing and Logistics and Supply Chain Management during my master's. The best part about the university was the connections made with the faculties and my fellow colleagues, and the annual fest, i.e. Grafest, was also the best part of the institution as it was those 3 days where we enjoyed and did not worry about any assignments and studies.
Admission :
I had a keen interest in studying English Literature and its history, and I wanted a college that offered this course within my city, so I chose Graphic Era University. I chose this college as it was the college from where my seniors from school graduated. So, I heard pretty great things about this Institution.
Faculty :
The faculties at this college are very informative and have insightful knowledge about their respective departments and subjects. We also get allotted Mentors when we are writing a research paper or a dissertation. Every faculty has his or her way of teaching and letting the students gain knowledge. The faculties also help you in any manner regarding your academics. I personally liked my faculties from the English Literature department as they always made us feel like we could communicate with them regarding any problems, and they always tried to help us out. My mentor during my Bachelor's was Assistant Prof. Antima Chamoli, who helped me out with my dissertation, and she was also a counsellor for every student.
