Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very basic and inclusive in the first year because students are from various domains which is very helpful to get on the track. In the second year, they are focusing on core subjects including electives.
Internships Opportunities
The internships are mainly at various ports across India and the logistics and supply chain companies as well. Some students have done internships in international companies also. In port, students are mainly in operation including the gate operation, documentation, yard and vessel planning etc, some of the ports are JNPA Mumbai and Cochin Port...
Placement Experience
The placement so far is really good. It will start from the beginning of the third semester continuing till the completion of the course. Everyone who doesn't have any back papers is eligible for the placement. Some of the companies are Port of Singapore authority, Bruhat, and Abrao...the average placement percentage is 90.
Fees and Financial Aid
Admission is via entrance, the registration fee is 1000. When you get selected you have to pay 10000 for choosing your course and campus location. After that caution fee is 30000 which is refundable. Yearly fees are 2,05,000 including program fees of 30000 for odd sem and semester fees are 87500 each. Total 4,10,000. Minority scholarships are available
Campus Life
The college has more curriculum and social-related things than cultural events. There will be various seminars and webinars related to the maritime and shipping industry. And there is a panel discussion on various aspects. The annual management feet of Indian maritime university is Estuary.
Admission
I chose this college because this university is directly under the Ministry of Port Shipping and Waterways. The only central government college that provides various courses in the maritime fields. The course fees are very low compared to other colleges.
Faculty
The facilities are really good. They have permanent and guest faculties who are experienced in the industry. They also provide outcome-based education. You will have to complete 45 days of internship after the first year which is compulsory. First year most of the papers are management basics and starting of specialization. A second year completely corr paper including electives subjects as per your interest. Last semester project completion is mandatory.
