- Less fee structure compared to other institutes. It was pretty affordable and has decent enough living standards in hostel.
- We dont have ragging culture here so you are free to be yourself and nobody will bother you unnecessarily.

- College placement structure is not up to the mark. Needs a lot of improvement. There is a big gap between industry standards and our skills due to lack of professional exposure
- Campus is still building, its a new college. The vision seems promising but right now our campus needs a lot of improvement in terms of looks and accommodation capability
Course Curriculum Overview :
Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per semester tution fees is around INR 12,5000 for odd semesters and INR 13,000 for the even ones. 2 semesters per year, so fees can go maximum upto INR 27,000. This includes the examination fees and other required charges which we dont have to pay seperately. This is for a general student. Few students belonging to economically weaker sections can avail TFW (Tution fee wavier) and their fee structure is around INR 11,500 and 12,000 respectively for odd and even semesters. Students from West Bengal can avail few State based scholarships such as Kanyashree or Swami Vivekananda Scholarship to get upto 40 percent off in their tution fees. Central based scholarships such as NSP can also be applied in this Institute.
Campus Life :
The library is honestly great. I love spending time there. Might be the only place in the enture college where i can sit for hours. They have a beautiful range of collections and its fascinating. Sports well mostly students prefer football and volleyball. We have interdepartment matches every other week. Theres an annual sports just a month before our fest and its honestly so competitive. Classrooms and labs are small and cant accommodate a lot of students. Sometimes we run out of seats and have to borrow wooden stools from elsewhere. As i said, our campus needs to be improvised. As for the fun part, we have an annual day, THE FEST, freshers, farewells and other celebrations time to time. We also heartily celebrate Saraswati Puja and Vishwakarma Puja as its a popular celebration here. The most glamorous month is March where theres pre fest programs and competitions, annual sports, cultural events and then the Main fest and DJ nights
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms are great. They have a lot of space and are in good condition. We have attached balcony with every rooms. Every floor has 2 hallways and there are washrooms at the end of both the hallways. The entire hsotel is very hygenic. The terrace is the best part of the hostel. Our in-time is. 8pm for girls and 10pm for boys. The hostel and mess fees are approx 20-25k inr per semester depending on the sessional charges. The fee goes in 2 cycles per semester so its 4 cycles of 3 month each per year. The mess is not so great because honestly the food quality sucks but they change the dishes on our requests so sometimes some dishes turn out good. I would rate the food 6 out of 10. Registration process for hostel is simple enough, you have to fill a form, submit few documents to the Hostel Management Council and the HMC allots you a room.
Admission :
My JEE scores were not sufficient for me to secure a seat in CSE in any college. Although i had applied to some semi government ones like IPU in delhi and had got a seat in ECE in the main campus, i opted for this one instead keeping the fee structure in mind. Also im a native bengali so i was not willing to travel to delhi for my academics. Though i regret that decision and would not recommend anyone to settle for a college nobody has heard of when you can have a better one instead. I had been selected for NIT Agartala as well in Mechanical branch but ofc i opted for a better branch. I mostly relied on Josaaa and Csab for my admission as my primary preference was to get into a government college so all of it depended on my jee scores which was not so great
Faculty :
Course is divided into 8 semesters. Each semester has newer subjects. Core subjects act as foundation for subsequent ones but there are other electoral courses or optional ones which are sometimes overwhelming and seem unnecessary such as Biology, environmental science and Economics. They are not required in long term but we have to cover them here. End semester exams are the most important ones which determine if you passed or failed. We have 4 internals called CAs (continuous assessments) apart from the end sems of 70 marks paper which add upto 30 marks. The best of the 4 CA scores is taken into consideration. Internals are pretty easy if you follow classes regularly. Our college faculty for my department is quite good. All the professors are approachable and ready to help their students. I personally admire my HOD a lot. The university set end sem paper may be overwhelming sometimes but studying from the MAKAUT organiser can help with that.
