Limited resources: As the college is not so old that's why there are limited equipments and machineries

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose Food Technology because this subject is very unique and interesting. It has great opportunities to get a job. Right now there are a total 7 faculties and 8 trainers present in this department. They all are so good and kind. All the faculties have PhD degrees and excellent knowledge.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 17000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

In my department ( Food Technology) there are various opportunities for internships. They sent students to Coca-Cola, Britannia, Redcow etc and various MNCs. For project work, they sent students to various IITs and NITs.

Placement Experience :

The placement in this college is good . In our department ( Food Technology) . The Faculties are trying to provide us 100% placement. As a result 70% students are already get placement. But being a girl it's little bit difficult to get a good placement because the industries mostly want male candidates so that they can do shift works .

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees structure hasbeen increased now a days . But when i took admission on 2021 it was around 30k . Per year semester fees is around 10k . So the overall 4 year's cost is around 1.5 lakh approx . The best thing is there are various scholarships present in our college, like Swami Vivekananda Scholarship where the give 60,000 per year to the deserving students , swayam scholarship etc .

Campus Life :

The campus life is so good and pleasent . The infrastructure is so good . The classrooms are wide and capable to hold 60-70 students . All the classrooms have cctv . There are active anti ragging portal in our college that's why the campus is totally ragging free .

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility for boys is good . But for girls is average . Because from the main gate to hostel is so far it takes 20 minute by walk . This distance is the main problem . Otherwise everything is so nice . The hostel rooms are so big and clean . The corridor and bathrooms are being cleaned everyday . The food is average but better than other hostels . The best thing about girls hostel is they have recently created a gym inside girls hostel . The hostel is quite affordable , the monthly allowance is 1000/- excluding food . They took 150/- per day for food .

Hostel Fee : INR 30000 per year

Admission :

To get admission to B.Tech in this college one must qualify for JEE mains or WBJEE. Once they fill the students from JEE mains and WBJEE based on their rank. Later they do centralisation to fill empty seats.

Faculty :

The Faculties are here too good and process . In now a days there are approximately 120 faculties present in college 1500 students are there . The Faculties are always ready to help students with any problem . They are so dedicated to their respective students .

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.

Remarks:

talking about few things. the quality of teaching delivered, educational technology available, facility provided at campus, placement records, location of the college, living environment around college. none of these are suitable or habitable. I may surely not advise anyone to get admitted in this college.
