Course Curriculum Overview :

Course isn't that relevant considering the industries standards. I chose Electronics and Communications cause then I can go to both core electronics and IT sector. Also semiconductor industries are getting funds from central government thus making it more easier to choose

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible from 4th year for placement. There were many companies which visited here like ZS Associates, American Express, Accenture, Mahindra Tech, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant and TCS etc. Average placement was 9.11 LPA for UIET in 2024 and highest was 44 LPA on campus. Well in ECE branch around 80% students get placed with average 10 LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees is 121855 annual and it's constant and will not increase. There is a examination fee of 3200 for University exams. The registration fee for jac Chandigarh was around 2700. Fees is same for everyone except TFWs students.

Campus Life :

All books which are required for engineering are present in UIET library. Classroom is old so no AC and no smart board , we only have projectors in classrooms. Extracurricular activities is quite good in UIET cause of clubs and sports clubs and also it's in Panjab University so we get access to all fest around Panjab University.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel room are equipped with Almirah, Small Cupboard, bed, table ,fan and light Room is spacious but it's old room. Management is poor in Hostel. And there is a hostel shortage so only 30% students get it. Hostel is allotted merit based but some are alloted by student party to their friends. There is an online portal where we get hostel allotted based on our rank and category.

Admission :

I got confirmed admission in Delhi University (DU) and Delhi Technological University (DTU) I was getting biotechnology and environmental engineering in DTU that's why I rejected that offer DU was offering me Btech in CSE but there was no hostel and also pg near University were the worst pgs that I ever saw. I would have also got NIT Surat Engineering Physics and Mechanical engineering but I had less than 75% so I wasn't eligible at the end

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio is not good in UIET cause there is shortage of permanent teachers I think programming faculties is good cause they focus on only programming, not in files etc I didn't liked chemistry faculties cause they only focus on theory and they don't teach good.

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

No hostels and worst PG near DU

Delhi Technological University - [DTU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Biotechnology)

MBA students have 2 internships, one being chemical core internship, which is done after 3 year for 2 months which is not shifted to last semester of 4th year for 6 months. Apart from this, there is a 2 month internship for MBA part. Earlier it was 2 months but now it is, also 6 months in the last semester. MBA students gets their internships done, both paid and unpaid included. But for placements, that story is not so good.

the placements in the college are quite good , but one need to be consistent throughout the four years to get placement , the college brings a lot of companies in the campus and you can get a lot of opportunities throughout the four years. Student have to work very hard to get placement.

The placements are just average. Companies come everyday or everyweek. Placement drive keeps running all time. Packages above 10 LPA have very very high competition. Courses have everything to crack a good package off campus. But students aren't studious they don't know anything they just blame the university

Here the average package is 8lpa. Students start to get placements in their 5th semester. Microsoft, accenture, infosis, ibm etc are the companies which often visits for placement. University also guides the student for higher studies such as MBA and mtech etc. It provides guidance through dcpd, a department of career planning in our college

Some students can get start getting internships offers from 5th semester and most of the students can get starts getting offers since the end og 6th semester. There almost more than 910+ companies that visit the campus with various offers which can be from new Startups to MNCs. Highest package offered was around 2 crore pa and the least being 5 lpa and average being 10-12 lpa. 70-80% students can get placed from the TPP(training and placement program) provided by the college by the end of 8th semester. I plan to get a job as a java developer at first proceed towards a carrier in cybersecurity.

For campus placement students can involve in 7th semester also many students got their PPOs in 6th semester as well. There are many reputed companies visited in PEC like Apple, Microsoft,Adobe,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Amazon etc.Highest package this year was around 58LPA on-campus while average of all branch turns into around 14.33LPA.Overall more than 50 percent students got placed in all batch while around 80 percent placed in CSE due to recession. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree or during my 4th year.

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college are quite good for my branch ( CSE ) but the mechanical and civil placement rate is very low only a few students sit for placement and are placed. Approx 80% of students placed in CSE, 70% in ECE, and 40% and 20% in mechanical and civil respectively. My plan is to go for a master's whether in india or abroad along with a part-time job.
