What Students Say

Likes

Giving reasons for the things I liked would be starting with the education quality that is provided here.
Infrastructure is more of like natural than being built as most of the campus is indeed a grass bank.
Placements are good and only the ones who don't try hard don't get placements here otherwise everyone who try hard gets placements no matter what.

Dislikes

Mess food isn't good and that is why most students stay outside rather than in hostels.

Course Curriculum Overview

Comprehensive would be an understatement for the kind of course that we have. Law is like never ending subject as changes or should I say ammedments are a part of it and our course is updated accordingly every now and then. Hence, we are always updated with all the latest in the world of law.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Internships Opportunities

From Khaitan to other top firms, their representatives visit our campus regularly and invite students to intern with them. Some students get direct internships there where other colleges like even the NLU Students struggle to make it.

Placement Experience

4.5

Rules are constraint here as minimum criteria are in place as a CGPA of 8+ throughout. Also, the internships count and all are mandatory for eligibility of placements at ICFAI Dehradun. If one is under that then placements at top corporates like Bajaj Group or the Hero Moto Corp group among others are also certain.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't think fees is an area of concern for any at ICFAI Dehradun as we have to pay semester wise. So some 60odd thousand every year. Yearly I end up paying 1,25,000/-. My classmates who are reserved category students have paid nearly half of what I have paid. Fees totally give justification for the kind of facilities and education that we get here.

Campus Life

In this part, the university is little behind them the UPES or Graphic Era for that matter. But facilities are at par as we too have sporting arena and some of the top sporting university grounds along with equally good indoor sports arena. Recreational facilities are good and so is the university canteen.

Admission

None to be honest as Dehradun is where I did my schooling from and college also I was certain that I will do from here. Now when I decided to study law, I did search for options and comparing it with UPES and Graphic, ICFAI is far better.

Faculty

I don't know the exact ratio or how to calculate that but talking about the quality of faculties, it's superb. Looks like they were born teachers and the way they teaches us the content is epic. Empirically the best law faculties are available at our university and I can vouch on that all day long.

law yet lovable life

Placement Experience:

right after the 4th year an average student gets on with their carrer path and college does have a placement cell which surely help students to place them but students must be attentive and follow the instuctions provided by them and have to stand out from other students as everone does not get chance to sit on a placement drive and the average company offers minimum 3LPA which most of the students take initially and leave soon. i plan for litigation though.

A transformative journey; my experience at ICFAI UNIVERSITY

Placement Experience:

The placement structure is not good for law department, it is really very good for MBA and other department but definetly not for law. it is not like they don't provide placement at all but instead if there are 150 students and 80 students have opted for placement then only 20 to 25 students get placement which maximum goes to 7lakh per annum.

ICFAI is too good to be true!!

Placement Experience:

Not before we get down to the 9th semester as placements are only when he have a CV to boast about. Many regulations and strict things like a certain CGPA, a certain number of intenrships and all has to be in place to be eligible. Around 60-70% stands eligible and almost 80-85% of them land up with placements.

ICFAI Dehradun has my heart on it!!

Placement Experience:

Placements are getting better and better. The number of students getting placed is getting higher by the day. Most students crave for corporate placements and that is where electives are these days. From Bajaj Group to Windsor group we have 15-20 companies started coming to hire students with on an average 10-12 lakhs a year package. The overall figeer dipa as law firms don't pay that much.
