- It has a good study environment and a good teaching system.
- It has a great infrastructure, with everything you need.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I would say the course curriculum is what is needed in the market. Whatever the industry wants from us is being taught in the college. And it updates every year according to the change in industry. So I would say it's very effective.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities for ECE students are not good, companies like AMD, INTEL, NOKIA, TCS, do come, but not everyone gets placed. For CS students but names comes and every other placement is about software engineer. So DOIND CSE MTECH from here is actually good.
Placement Experience :
There are ample amount of placement opportunities, from interns to full time. But one thing I have noticed is, placement companies specifically come either for btech students or for computer science department. Us ECE students have got very few opportunities.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For MTECH it is pretty affordable. 2 lakhs per year for normal admission and less if you give pgcet exam which is significantly less. And hostel fees which is 1lakh 60thousand for 10 months. Which means 16k per month with 4 times food, laundry, security for a single room is pretty good. 1lakh 45thousand for tripple sharing rooms.
Campus Life :
Campus environment is very good, feels safe, no ragging or anything. There are several clubs, but not for PG students though. There are indoor sports available too. There is a massive canteen on 13th floor of the engineering block and one in the Golden Jubilee block. So socializing isn't a problem.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facility is good, 4 times food + laundry + security. For 10 months the fees is 160k for single rooms and 145k for sharing rooms. Which means 16k per month is very good considering the fact that were getting so much facilities. Outside PG has less rent but the facilities are also less.
Admission :
Because I wanted to study in Bangalore and in Bangalore PES had mtech program for VLSI DESIGN. other colleges didn't had it. And also this is one of the top colleges in Karnataka. I had heard about it from few colleagues.
Faculty :
Faculty are good. They get to teach on a TV screen where they project their ppts which gives them more flexibility, along with it they teach us on white boards and blackboards. Course includes and updates according to what's needed in the market. And exams are pretty much on point just after finishing a certain portion you'll have your internals. 2 internals and 1 end semester exam for us pg students.
