My MBA Experience

Dislikes

  • To Reaching out to counsellor or any faculty is difficult in online mode.
  • Delayed services sometimes. You have tor raise the service request for anything, sometimes the resolution is delayed

Course Curriculum Overview :

The NMIMS distance learning curriculum helps you in understanding of business management concepts, it covers core subjects of Management, finance, operations or HR. It help in enhancing the critical thinking. Talking about the exam timing. You get 2.5 hours for completing the examination of 70 marks.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is no fee for registration. The Tution fee for entire MBA programme (in any field) is 120000 INR if you pay the entire amount at once. However, if you choose to pay the fee in semester-wise installments, the cost is 35000 INR per semester, which totals 140000 INR. I opted for the semester wise fee payment. Additionally, there is an examination registration fee of 600 INR per subject.

Campus Life :

It was a distance learning programme so I haven't got the exposure of campus life. It was a distance learning programme I used to watch the recorded lectures and prepare for the examination. Overall experience was good

Admission :

I have applied to this college considering the Brand value of the college, the fee structure and also the admission process was simple. I have also heard about this college before and got a good review of it.

Faculty :

There are dedicated proffesional teaching staff for every subject. In online mode you can not easily reach out to the faculty. Although you can reach out to them via portal but it is difficult sometimes to reach out to them for any query. You will be appearing for 26 exams where in first semester 8 subjects were there and in other three semester 6 subjects were there. The difficulty level is moderate for the examination. You have to submit assignments for each subject for which you get marks out of 30 and for other 70 you need to appear for written examination. The marking system is fine, In each exam there are 4 sections. Section A B and C are MCQ's and Section D is To write the detailed answer. Section A - 5 marks, Section B - 15 marks, Section C- 20 and section D - 30 Marks

Placement Experience:

The college provides fare placements, but still there is a chance of improvement especially for the field of data science. From our batch 100% of students got placed, but keeping the scope of field in mind, the average package is low as compared to the investment

Placement Experience:

The placements depend upon which Specialization you're in. If you're a marketing student there will be lots of good companies coming in for placements followed by finance and then HR. You become eligible for placement from 3rd semester. Companies such as Deloitte, PWC, TCS, HCL, etc. visit the campus for placements and offer a good amount of Packages.
