Student's Review On Narsee Monjee Institute Of Management Studies - [NMIMS Deemed To Be University], Mumbai

Remarks :

The reputation of college is pretty good, the faculties are well trained, the campus is not that big, but all the facilities are provided, except sports facilities, though students manage all the inter class competition, the vibes are all good.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was upto date, the syllabus was similar to that of BMS of mumbai university, but the difficulty level was much more than MU, the faculties are from well know institutes, with good teaching experience, also we were given industrial visits once a year, example JSW steel plant near Mumbai. Faculty names:- veerendra anchan, Pooja dave, Sandeep sir, mona bhalla mam. And few more

Internships Opportunities :

I interned at LSD films Pvt ltd for 4 months, my stipend was 12000 bucks per month, my working hours were 5 hours a day, also I applied through internshala.

Placement Experience :

Placement department is very active there are n no. Of companies that visit the campus, many of the mnc's are also there, mostly all of the students get placed, but everyone doesn't go for the jin, as they have plans for post grad.

College Events :

There were a lot of events, like our college event was fixed (VAAYU) EVERY YEAR DECEMBER. and apart from that there are many colleges where we can take part in. Many celebrities are invited, our fest continues till 4 days. It's fun really fun. It's a national level fest so you can at least expect 50 colleges from all over the country.

Campus Life :

Sports facilities weren't available due to lack of space. It's Mumbai, and lab were pretty good, air-conditioned classes, WiFi was provided with some restrictions of course. But VPN can be helpful, the lab equipments were upto to date (software).

Hostel Facilities :

No, I didn't but hostel facilities aren't that good, since the college has 3 buildings which are rented, and have converted them to hostels, which are pretty old. PG's are easily available, though they are expensive, they may range between 2lac per annum to 5lac per annum, depends on amenities you chose, also flats are available, as per your requirements, 60k for 2bhk is AVG price in vile parle/juhu.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester, students are eliglible to freely do any Internship by prior informing the college; in other days, early times of college, a strict procedure will be taken to understand the aspect of doing internship. Christ College offers vast opportunities of internship around the cities. My plans after getting bachelors degree is to start working for MBA.

Placement Experience:

By the end of second-semester teachers make their students ready for the placement. A company like Accenture, Seimens, Capgemini, gebbs, gave the opportunities in this college for placement, the average package is 4 lakh per annum and highest is 25 lakh per annum. Students percentage is quite high getting placement from college.
