Manipal Institute of Technology Review

Dislikes

  • There are way too many exams conducted every week, although it is to make students comfortable with topics but it gets very hectic and inconvenient.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is planned in very detailed. The faculty takes this step very crucially. Each and every course is kept to make students learn a new skill that is not irrelevant to their future aspects and instead will help them to build a better resume. The teaching methods for most of the faculties are not only theoretical but also practical based which gives us both conceptual and industrial knowledge and experience.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fee for my course which is Data Science and Engineering was approximately 4,00,000 per year. But if you are able to maintain a yearly CGPA of 8.5+ then you are eligible for scholarships up to 90,000. Now the fees has increased for this branch, maybe because of addition of some new courses and labs which were not there earlier.

Campus Life :

There are numerous technical as well cultural clubs in our college which gives students various opportunities to learn new skills apart from their course curriculum. There are many student projects which helps students to build new technologies and compete with different colleges on inter state or even inter country levels.

Admission :

My reason for choosing MIT was the well-rounded college experience that I got here. My father is himself an alumnus of this college which further motivated me to choose this college for my undergraduate degree. The campus life that MIT offers is incomparable and I can certainly say that no other college can give us such an amazing experience which is filled with growth, learning, and unforgettable memories, all in just four years of time.

Faculty :

The faculty at MIT are very generous, approachable, and well-qualified. Most of them have internal exposure when it comes to teaching students. You can easily approach them with any new idea for research or a project and they will guide you in the right direction. The course curriculum is very well outlined which gives students enough time to prepare for examinations and keep on learning new skill sets required for industry in the future. The examination level is mostly easy to moderate if you are well attentive in the classrooms and thorough with your concepts. The curriculum for every branch is quite relevant ensuring that students are prepared with the right skills for the industry.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to get placements from their 6th to 7th semester as whatever basic is needed by them to a company is embedded into them. Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Cisco, and many other companies visit our college and make many offers. The highest package in my course was 47 L.P.A previous year and average is 7 to 8 L.P.A. Almost all students get placed in our branch almost every year. I just wanna do a start-up after completion of my course and getting my degree.
