Remarks :
Basic eligibility for taking admission an engineering college in Kerala is an engineering entrance examination called KEAM. Students who qualify in the keam entrance exam are eligible to study in government colleges. In self-financing colleges there are three types of admission are available for students they are government Merrit, NRI and management merit. Sc/St caste reservation benefits are available for students who come under government merit seats.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mechatronics engineering is a part of robotics engineering this course has high scope in future. This course is very rare in Kerala engineering college because only a few colleges are providing this course. Mtech and BTech graduates are appointed as an assistant professors and PhD graduates are appointed as hod in college. Term exams are conducted twice a semester.
Placement Experience :
Campus placements starts generally from the seventh semester in the fourth year. Nehru institutions have a lot of hold with multinational companies so a lot of companies like TCS, BPL, Amazon are offering placements to students who have no back papers. The highest package offered by companies is 9lakhs per year and the average salary is 4000/month. Mainly placements are offered to computer science engineering students comparatively.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fees for mechatronics engineering are high when compared to other branches because there is only a few seats are available overall in Kerala. Sc/st oec students are avail for reservation benefits and also college provides a lot of scholarships and fees reduction for students based on their financial background and mark percentage.
Campus Life :
Aarav, tappa, bloom, nsite, are the biggest events conducted in college in cooperation with students. Other than these events arts day, sports day, seminars, technical expos, campus day, Onam and Christmas all are conducted.
