Tata Institute Of Social Science has the best environment to explore, questioning and unlearning things and finally learn something great.

Entrance Preview :

TISS-NET. I opted for this college as its the best institute for social work in India and to learn the best techniques that a professional social worker require.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It's is completely related to research and practical experience that we get from file work and classroom exercises. This helps us in developing skills of a professional social worker.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes it provides us with internships at various NGOs and CSRs. They only provide us with the travel expenses.

Placement Experience :

100% placement at various NGOs and CSRs with a descent salary.

College Events :

There are many kinds of festivals and cessions that we celebrate in our college. Those are like freshers party, annual fest, onam, mehfil etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is a bit expensive according to me.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No i didn't get any such kind of scholarship or loan fesility.

Campus Life :

Campus life is really wonderful as various kinds of extracurricular activities goes on and the gender ratio is also very good with a huge diversity among student's regionalism.

Hostel Facilities :

Unfortunately they don't provide a hostel in the first year and the food quality is quite good.

External Expense : More Than Rs.15000

Alumni/Alumna :

Every year alumni meet is celebrated and the seniors are really very helpful and interactive with the juniors.

Exam Structure :

The exams are basically semester based and have a lot of assignments along with presentations and field work as well.

Faculty :

All my faculties are connected with field work researches and academics. They connects the practical problems in our societies with the classroom teachings and also helps us in learning the tools and techniques that are required in social work research in a very beautiful way.

The best college for Social Sciences study

Placement Experience:

The students join in large numbers in this college because of better placements only. They are aware of the same before admission. There is a placement cell called CGPC on the campus which consists of students from the final year. They take care of the students' placement needs. There are many companies like BAIF, Pradan, Kudumbshree, Rajivika, Bihar SRLM, MP SRLS, ORMAS, OLM, Antra, APF, etc. 100% of students get placed from all the courses. Some students of SIE go for establishing their own business enterprise and they do not sit for placements, some want to go for higher studies. Those who wish to get a job all get a job.

Remarks:

Symbiosis School of International Studies, in short, was the biggest mistake of my life. It's not worth spending 5 lakhs. I've heard that they increase the fees by 10% every year. Apart from the hostel which is managed by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, nothing provided by the college is worth the money. The health centre is even worse. They don't check the patients on time. The medicines prescribed are either too strong or ineffective.
