SJCIT (swamiji college)

  • Placement opportunities are less compared to other colleges .it is far from town almost like outside of chikballapur.if u are opting for hostel then you may not face any difficulties but if u are coming from other places then u have travel .

Course Curriculum Overview :

Currently, I am in the fourth sem ECE department. ECE is the first branch that got started in our college. so most of the placements in bulk happen in ECE. The third sem in ECE was tough for me. Now I'm in the fourth semester and my exams are coming. I hope I get past this time as I feel the 4th sem is easier than the 3rd.

Internships Opportunities :

Currently, I have no idea about internships as I am still in my second year. after completion of the 4th sem, I will be taking an internship. The college will help utilize the student's study holidays by telling them to take internships.

Placement Experience :

Placement facility is very little to no. If you are skilled enough you will get placed in the third year itself. You need to have the skills. Otherwise, there is no spoonfeeding done in sjcit college, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid :

If you appear from CET your fees will be 1,15000 rs for college. And for a hostel, the current fee is 80000. You have to pay 40000 in even and odd sem. For comedk fees will be high like 225000 or something like that.

Campus Life :

Every year there will be a sambhrama fest. This fest will run for a week where there will be a number of competitions for students to participate in and showcase their talent. Students can put up stalls for food and games, etc., and at the weekends like sat fri there will be a main event where other colleges come to participate in a dance competition, fashion show competition, and prize distribution will be done and DJ will be there for students.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are good and not bad. You have to get adjusted to the food here. The food is not bad. Morning 8 breakfast will be provided afternoon 12:30 lunch will be provided. Evening 4 o'clock snacks will be provided. and 7:30 dinner is provided. hostel rooms are okay.

Admission :

If you have passed in 12th and have written CET, you are eligible for admission. But you have to secure a ranking of respective fields to get admission as for me being an sc I got an ECE seat for a ranking of 160000.

Faculty :

Teachers are all cooperative and help students of any kind. Some of them are really good lecturers while some try their best to teach .where there is good there is bad also. They all support you in any co-curriculum activities.

Placement Experience:

Last year due to recession the placements were low comparatively. From semester 7 onwards we are eligible for campus placements. I do not exactly have the correct statistics, but all the students who tried outside got the jobs easily. Highest package 32 lacks and least goes upto 3 lacks per annum. Last yearpercentage of students placed is 66 and before that it was more than 90 My plan is to get a good job, after the degree and if I cannot get a good job then I will go for higher studies abroad.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements by the start of the 7th semester, and the internships by the 5th semester. Since Mangalore has many MNCs, most of the campus drives start with those companies. We have an average package of 18LPA and it varies according to each branch of engineering. Mostly all the computer science-related branches have 23LPA as their average and the core branches have 14LPA. Almost 95 per cent of the students get placed. The highest package has even crossed 50LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the computer science was booming and also beeing an aspiring student towards that field I had decided to do CSE. The curriculum is was less practical towards the real world applications. They should have include industry professionals to teach they would have better knowledge and experience. Every one we used to have exam like mid term , FA, and end terms. Difficulty depends upon prepration level done by student.

Placement Experience:

They are eligible for placements after 4th semester and the placements are average, a lot of companies have visited I can't say them all ex like Infosys, TCS , and a lot of American and Taiwanese companies, the highest place ment in this campus was around 28lpa and average is around 1L and the percentage of students getting placements are below average like every other college cause this mostly depends on you and not the college its all based on your skill set. My plans are to get a job with a good lpa and I'm confident about that because I have a good skillset which would benefit the companies.

Placement Experience:

If talking about the placement placements are good companies like Wipro or Amazon and many other companies will visit the campus but the ratio of selection is less. So little bit hard work is required or else around 60 to 70%. Students are placed from my college in every year.
