Course Curriculum Overview :

I was interested in programming and computer science in general which made me take up bachelor of engineering in computer science and engineering. I currently come under 2022 scheme of vtu syallbs which is pretty updated and gives us a strong base of important concepts. The curriculum teaches you more about core computer science concepts including a few industry specific courses, but however if a student wants to secure good internship and placement with good package he or she must put in efforts from their side. The frequency of exams is pretty chill, its not very stressful and it can be managed with extra curriculars too. We generally have 3 internals for each semester and one end sems exams

Internships Opportunities :

There are paid and unpaid internships offered to students in the college based on their skill levels and projects etc. There are all type of internships offered ranging from event management to web development, it reallt depends on individual interest.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester, many companies including walmart, accenture, capgemini come for placement. Almost 70% of the students get placed with packages ranging from 4lpa to 23lpa being the highest The highest pacakage seen this year was around 25 lpa by phonepe If a student fails to secure campus placement, there is many opportunities off campus too My plan is to do a masters degree after bachelors

Fees and Financial Aid :

I joined through comedk so i paid 1,93,197 rupees plus 20,000 lab fees for 1st year For second year i paid a total of 2,09,197 rupees including all the fees For kcet its around 1.5lakhs and management seat is around 4 lakhs per year There are govt scholarships available

Campus Life :

There is annual cultural fest called sapthrang that is conducted every year around the month of may-june. This year there was a 2 day state technical fest called srishti conducted by vtu hosted by our college. The library has everything a student might require including books, ebooks, desktops etc. The classrooms are well equipped with smart boards, etc The college hosts many extra curricular activities like dance, sports, music etc

Admission :

I applied to many colleges including bms, dsce, nmit etc,.. i couldnt make it to those colleges because i coulf not reach the rank cutoffs for them. I chose atria institute of technology because of its good reviews, good accessiblilty compared to other colleges in my options and the course. I got admitted through comedk and the admission process was pretty straight forward, after seat allotment, i had to come to college within a specified date with documents specified by the college and the process was done within approximately one hour. The exams accepted for my course is comedk and kcet

Faculty :

The faculty student relationship is very professional but they are also very helpful and approchable, they will help you in any doubts related to their field of teaching or experience. They also help us get more exposure by recommending hackathons, workshops and helping us with our projects and referring the srudents. Every semester we have 3 internals and one end sems, usually there is about one month gap between each internals. The course curriculum is mainly prescribed by vtu so it is standard and quite relevant to present day industry requirements but of course extra effort is needed from students end to secure good internships and placements

Night Life :

I dont have much idea about nightlife because im a dayscholar There is a curfew for hostellers, students can roam inside the campus till 10pm but main gates close by 9 pm The area in and around the campus is pretty safe There are many malls around where students can hangout

Placement Experience:

Last year due to recession the placements were low comparatively. From semester 7 onwards we are eligible for campus placements. I do not exactly have the correct statistics, but all the students who tried outside got the jobs easily. Highest package 32 lacks and least goes upto 3 lacks per annum. Last yearpercentage of students placed is 66 and before that it was more than 90 My plan is to get a good job, after the degree and if I cannot get a good job then I will go for higher studies abroad.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements by the start of the 7th semester, and the internships by the 5th semester. Since Mangalore has many MNCs, most of the campus drives start with those companies. We have an average package of 18LPA and it varies according to each branch of engineering. Mostly all the computer science-related branches have 23LPA as their average and the core branches have 14LPA. Almost 95 per cent of the students get placed. The highest package has even crossed 50LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the computer science was booming and also beeing an aspiring student towards that field I had decided to do CSE. The curriculum is was less practical towards the real world applications. They should have include industry professionals to teach they would have better knowledge and experience. Every one we used to have exam like mid term , FA, and end terms. Difficulty depends upon prepration level done by student.

Placement Experience:

They are eligible for placements after 4th semester and the placements are average, a lot of companies have visited I can't say them all ex like Infosys, TCS , and a lot of American and Taiwanese companies, the highest place ment in this campus was around 28lpa and average is around 1L and the percentage of students getting placements are below average like every other college cause this mostly depends on you and not the college its all based on your skill set. My plans are to get a job with a good lpa and I'm confident about that because I have a good skillset which would benefit the companies.

Placement Experience:

If talking about the placement placements are good companies like Wipro or Amazon and many other companies will visit the campus but the ratio of selection is less. So little bit hard work is required or else around 60 to 70%. Students are placed from my college in every year.
