Remarks :

when we were in college we were thinking that management is very bad, but now after seeing outer world, i am saying it was very good. a college really mean that name, means it gives education not only a degree but teaches us how to live in a technical environment.

Entrance Preview :

gandhi group of institution is known for their education system and placements. at the time of my joining in to a college in the counselling process their i had a opportunity to join the college in my dream field of mechanical engineering what i was searching for. i got the opportunity and i choose the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

course curriculum is same in all institutes affiliated to the state university and my college is one of them. so the curriculum is the same. but the extracurricular activities like the seminars and the technical sessions we were having were very good. the curriculum is designed by IIT professors so the overall mechanical engineering course curriculum was best.

Internships Opportunities :

my college doesn't provide internship to undergrads. they may be providing in post graduations. other than these management helps to get in to other internships out side the campus.

Placement Experience :

at the time of counselling before the joining to the college, what i predicted, that came true for me. though i was among some first students to enroll to me college, i thought that what ever may be the campuses will come, i have chances to get one definitely and same happened with me. in mechanical branch we had 7 campus drives and i got the first two of them . the second one was paying best in the whole college. job opportunity is very good now a days.

College Events :

in four years of my college every year we celebrated the annual function the annual function is technosocial function. besides that sessional functions also there. and the ganesh puja and saraswati puja and vishwakarma puja were being celebrated in our college. annual fest was called SPARKLE. technical one was called TECHNIRVANA. etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

fee structure is moderate. for the accomodation the fee structure is good enough. overall fee structure is feasible.those days fee structure was good. now there is a little increment in the fee structure. it was about 35000 per year in 2009 for the tuition fee.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

loan facility was provided for the students . apart from that various scholarships are also made available by administration to the students. i was getting 10000 rs per year in one scholarship. there are many scholarships were available according to the criteria.

Campus Life :

campus life was always joyful and memorable. guys were more than girls. high extracurriculars in 2nd and 3rd year. every year sports and functions. i had got first prize in robotics in sparkle 2012. in between the courses there were other co curricular activities also running including the seminars and the debates also there.

Hostel Facilities :

for the accomodation the fee structure is good enough. but the mess hostel food is not good. there were three boys hostel in campus and two ladies hostels. besides these, one two playground, pone tennis court, one basketball court were there.one big auditorium also there. one common assembly point is also there.

Alumni/Alumna :

we are the first batch. so seniors were not there but we have juniors and the management has a hard rule foir the ragging in the campus. so we were having a very joyful time for the enjoyment.

Exam Structure :

we were having semesters in every six months and trimester in every three months and weekly surprise tests in classrooms. semesters are the university level exam. besides that we were having lab tests regularly. the lab tests were recorded by marks and these marks were being added to final exam marks in the boards.

Admission :

ojee is the common entrance test to join any technical institution in odisha. so i gave the entrance test and i had a good rank in the test. when counselling started on the day two i was having my schedule for the counselling. i got the board and i saw that there is vacant seats in mechanical engineering in my college list. so i joined the college.

Faculty :

at first year the faculties were not so good except the few. but in the third year and the second year , professors are very knowledgeable and cooperative. out of ten i will give six and half.faculties of mechanical engineering were very hard working, in the exam days they were giving extra classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because at that time I was keenly interested in Engineering drawings, architecture, construction as well as estimations and costing. Here the faculty-student ratio is approx 1:18. Almost 1/3rd of the faculty are permanent and have a doctorate and they are well experienced. Guest faculties are also from prestigious colleges holding masters and bachelors. Examinations were conducted regularly in class as well as there used to be 2 internals in a sem and one end sem exam. Questions were set by the BPUT and it was moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

College claims to provide 100% placements to its students, Students from the 7th semester can sit in placements. Many big companies come to recruit on campus every year like Amazon, Dell, Accenture, Wipro, cognizant. The HIghest package was Rs 39lpa by amazon. Profiles like data analyst, software developer, coding, data scientists etc are offered by companies. I am planning to take up an IT sector job

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester onwards. Companies like Ajatus, Byjus, Wipro , Infosys offer placement opportunities in our college. The placement rate has deteriorated over the past 5 years. Earlier 50 %-80%students were placed but now only 20%-30%are placed. Earlier the highest package was 10 LPA and the average package was 4LPA. Now the rate has decreased greatly. The college still tries its best to bring companies. Earlier the placements were more of on-campus placements but now it's mostly off campus. The training and placement cell hence prepares students for the recruitment process and selects the best students and gets them placed. After getting the degree I would be applying for interviews on the technical line off-campus and side by side I would do my higher studies like M.TECH.
