Remarks :

It is working towards more efficiency but more work needs to be put into little details and better infrastructure and improved curriculum.

Entrance Preview :

Best faculty for Psychology in the city. They work tirelessly for the betterment of the students and have a very positive attitude towards the students which is the most important thing.I feel I came here because I felt my previous college did not really live up to it hence I wanted to come here

Course Curriculum Overview :

It is good but not extraordinary. The university needs to change the course and make it more suitable according to the present needs. Our subject of Psychology has old syllabus which was also done by our teachers back in 1996. Over the years everything has changed

Internships Opportunities :

No. It does not. Not in my experience. I had to go out and apply for one myself. Although my teachers cooperated with me

Placement Experience :

Very average. Not everyone gets played in good places easily. Especially as our courses are academic courses and not professional ones, it's not easy to find jobs following those degrees anyway Therefore I will say it's very average for now and we do have MBA but it's pretty new so I cannot judge it at the moment.

College Events :

Youth festival for all extra curricular activities, like dance, music, drama, debate etc. Different specific conferences like entrepreneur workshops, psychology workshops. We celebrate different festivals and important days to remember special people.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible. In comparison to different courses in the college, my course is relatively affordable. It requires maximum of. 21000/- RS per annum along with examination fees and some minor expenditure on events and study material around the year. So in all, it is feasible

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Not aware of it. I don't know as I never enquired about the process of getting one. I think some special sections do get it

Campus Life :

Overall the college has a good balance of studies and sports. Best sportspersons of the city come from DAV. Gender ratio is also quite balanced. Good labs. Good opportunities to involve in debates. On a scale of 10, infrastructure of my college is 7/10

Hostel Facilities :

Never experienced it. I have never experienced it so I cannot explain it. Otherwise, according to what I heard, it's average and nothing very great. The food is pretty average. Some children say it's good but some have a very negative attitude towards it.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes. If connection is made, they come back to organize events. We have had old students coming in and giving us lectures

Exam Structure :

Quite rigid. We follow the panjab University curriculum and we have semester system now. So we have exams twice in a year. And 1 mid semester exam per semester. In all we have in total 4 sets of exams in which we need to maintain a good score for good grades.

Admission :

A merit list was prepared based on the graduation total with special weightage given to Psychology marks. Then we were asked to come for counseling and top ranks were given admission on same day and rest were asked to wait for the list. The process was smooth.

Faculty :

It is very good. I can say for my Psychology course that it is very good Our teachers are very positive and cooperative. They employ different methods to make us learn about different ideas and help us build skills with different activities designed for us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The best thing about this curriculum is that it is non very burdensome for us and easy to navigate through. It is well divided into multiple units making it easier to navigate through. For example - there is this course of key concepts in the very first semester which lays foundation for upcoming all semesters. Similarly in the first semester, we are taught Constitution of India laying the basics very clear . I personally choosed this course due to my interest and it's application in almost every competition exam out there. There can be a little bit improvement regarding the introduction of research methodology courses. Since there are no courses yet, it often cause a problem for students who want to pursue PhD in future. The frequency of exams is fine enough as there is a lot of time for us to adjust in the new semester and enjoy all the curricular and co curricular activities without a constant load of examinations all the time. This is the best thing I find.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Show me the curriculum was pretty good, it did not cover all the clinical aspect. I would definitely say that, but overall it was moderate level of education. It helped me to make my basics much more stronger, and this helped me in preparing for my future exams. The class is generally of 50 to 45 minutes. we also have practical classes of one hour twice a week. The classes generally starts from 9:30 AMand can continue till 3 PM.
