Remarks :

Overall I want to say that this is a new IIT which is getting developed.This is not developed ,its developing. So This College is very good for researchers. Placement condition is pathetic. New Permanent Campus is not fully ready, its getting ready so it

Entrance Preview :

Entrance exam was IIT-JEE 2012. This college is basically new in everything. My Rank in IIT-JEE was 4087. So I wasn't getting old IIT with Core Branch. I didn't know much about this college when I took this college.Main thing was that I was getting Core Branch,so I took this college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

In this college, There is a good course structure with a well focus on research. Lot of money is spent on research here. Labs are well equipped with a lot of highly expensive apparatus and devices. Faculties are also very good,90% of the faculty has done M.S. or Any Masters course abroad. Faculties are friendly with the exception of some.

Internships Opportunities :

In my Branch, not a single company came in campus for internship so I applied through internship websites (offline). I did engineering internship in BHEL in Bhopal for 2 months.Experience in this internship was very good.I learnt a lot through this internship. This Internship was unpaid. I also did Marketing Intership in Bakery Bite. Experience was very good and I was paid 5000/- for 2 months.

Placement Experience :

Placements condition varies from Branch to Branch. In CSE and EE ,Placements are fine and some are awesome. For mechanical and Civil Branch ,Placement condition is pathetic. Flipkart came and recruited 4 students Snapdeal came and recruited 4 students Flipkart offered 12Lacs and Snapdeal around 11 Lacs. Google offered 30Lac .

College Events :

In IIT HYDERABAD, There is one fest organized in October (NIVISION )which is a technical Fest and the other one is ELAN which is basically cultural Fest organized in February. They are held up with a highly enthusiastic audience. Budget of the NVISION is below 10 lac and Of ELAN is below 30 lac. Almost every festival is celebrated here with a great enthusiasm. Even small small festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are many Scholarship programs. There's one called MCM Scholarship which gives scholarship depending on Parents salary (Annual). If Parents Salary is less 4.5 ,then the student is eligible for MCM scholarship. Also there are two other scholarship 1.SC/ST scholarhsip 2.Institute Free Studentship.

Campus Life :

My Batch strength is 196 out of them 22 of them are girls. So Gender Ratio 22/196. Campus life is not so good as compared to other colleges, like we haven't got any bike because bikes are not allowed. Campus is around 40-50 kms off the main Hyderabad City. Ola,uber doesn't come to campus. So,there is a problem with transportation in the Medak Area. Medak is a District where IIT is located. Students from different parts of India and of different castes have come here. So,we see people of the same area being together most of the time. We have many Labs and in sports ,College has got Cricket,Basketball, Badminton, Hockey, Volleyball, Tennis,Football.Lots of competitions are held in the Fest.

Hostel Facilities :

We(4th Year B.Tech Boys) got shifted to New Permanent Campus this summer. Here everyone got single room. New Hostel rooms are awesome. Mess Building looks like a Mall. Hostels are Beautifully designed.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Very Few Seniors are in interaction. So I would rate the Alumni Network very poor. Senior Students are very good and understanding. Here there is no restriction like Saying "Sir" and "Ma'am" to our seniors. Seniors tell us to call them by their Name or Bhaiya/Didi.

A small glimpse on my SNIST
