Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum designed according to the real life industry needs and to make students as an employable engineer. Labs and projects prepares us for real world application and further academic pursuits

Class Size : 90Course Fees : INR 107000 per year

Placement Experience :

Placements for mechanical branch is quite impressive. Many companies like - L&T, HPCL, JSW, IOGL, whice have core industrial work comes for placement after the 6th sem, students were eligible for placement. In 2024 overall 70% students of mechanical engineering were placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee was taken in every semester like in one year the first fee were around 70-75k and the next semester the second installment of fee were around 30-35k, so the overall tution fee of 4 years were around 4.40 L and there was a scholarship provided by the authority that was merit cum means scholarship. This was around 20k per year

Campus Life :

There are many cultural and technical festivals. Almost 10 festivals are there. Here we have a great library which have enagurated in 1949 by Pt Jawaharlal Nehru and it has very huge sitting capacity and books and journels as well

Hostel Facilities :

They have overall 8 boys hostels, 10 girls hostel and a international hostel. They have room of double sharing and single sitting as well. But rooms are quite small and hostels are very old, there is no cleanliness and the mess food is very bad, but according to chandigarh the hostel is very affordable.

Hostel Fee : INR 12000 per year

Admission :

Admission process was from JAC chandigarh counselling according to the AIR rank in jee mains. And the 10th and 12th marks more that 60%. There are many categories if reservation like st sc obc. You have to fill your choice according to your rank and preference

Faculty :

All of the faculty members are graduated from top IITs and they have done there research from top research colleges. They have 1:6, teacher:student ratio. Class timings are from 9to5 from monday to Friday. We can apporach every professor in their respective cabins.

Get a life

Placement Experience:

MBA students have 2 internships, one being chemical core internship, which is done after 3 year for 2 months which is not shifted to last semester of 4th year for 6 months. Apart from this, there is a 2 month internship for MBA part. Earlier it was 2 months but now it is, also 6 months in the last semester. MBA students gets their internships done, both paid and unpaid included. But for placements, that story is not so good.

Chandigarh University - It can make you or break you

Placement Experience:

The placements are just average. Companies come everyday or everyweek. Placement drive keeps running all time. Packages above 10 LPA have very very high competition. Courses have everything to crack a good package off campus. But students aren't studious they don't know anything they just blame the university

An overall review of my college

Placement Experience:

Some students can get start getting internships offers from 5th semester and most of the students can get starts getting offers since the end og 6th semester. There almost more than 910+ companies that visit the campus with various offers which can be from new Startups to MNCs. Highest package offered was around 2 crore pa and the least being 5 lpa and average being 10-12 lpa. 70-80% students can get placed from the TPP(training and placement program) provided by the college by the end of 8th semester. I plan to get a job as a java developer at first proceed towards a carrier in cybersecurity.

PEC Chandigarh: A balanced review on its Pros and Cons

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students can involve in 7th semester also many students got their PPOs in 6th semester as well. There are many reputed companies visited in PEC like Apple, Microsoft,Adobe,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Amazon etc.Highest package this year was around 58LPA on-campus while average of all branch turns into around 14.33LPA.Overall more than 50 percent students got placed in all batch while around 80 percent placed in CSE due to recession. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree or during my 4th year.

CCET Life

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college are quite good for my branch ( CSE ) but the mechanical and civil placement rate is very low only a few students sit for placement and are placed. Approx 80% of students placed in CSE, 70% in ECE, and 40% and 20% in mechanical and civil respectively. My plan is to go for a master's whether in india or abroad along with a part-time job.
