- The campus provide good infrastructure and environment for study. The college has full Wi-Fi campus and beautiful garden area.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The PhD curriculum includes coursework for the first semester and, afterward, focuses on research. The course curriculum is designed in such a way as to meet the industry's specific demands. The examinations are held twice a semester with a bit of difficulty level to examine the students better.
Internships Opportunities :
The institute provides internship opportunities for inside and outside students working on different projects across different departments. A stipend is also given to students on internships. Some are in-house projects, and some are government-funded projects.
Placement Experience :
In PhD, there are not many company placement opportunities. The placement cell of the university is very hard-working and active and provides every opportunity to the students. Majorly after PhD degree, most of the students go for teaching jobs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fee for PhD GATE students is Rs. 20,000/- per semester, whereas for non-GATE, it is Rs. 46730/- per semester. The university provides Teaching Assistantships to Ph.D. students on a monthly salary basis, which is Rs. 35,000/- for GATE and Rs. 20,000/- for non-GATE students. There are government scholarships.
Campus Life :
There are several fests and events held yearly, most of which are sports, food, cultural, and technical. The library facility is there for the students with a huge collection and a wide variety of books on core subjects, novels, etc. Classrooms are well furnished with projectors and smart screens. A decamped sports area is there for a variety of sports and also has a swimming pool facility.
Admission :
To get admission to a Ph.D. course, a master's degree is mandatory for registration and admission. The registration can be done online through the official website www.thapar.edu. There will be a written exam for non-GATE students, and the total marks are 80, out of which 50% marks are compulsory to qualify for the exam. After that document verification and interview round is there for both GATE and non-GATE students.
Faculty :
The faculty is well qualified and expert in their respective teaching areas. Faculty here focuses more on practical applications and implementation in real-time systems. They also had many government-funded research projects. Also, they supervise the research capstone groups and have application-based output. Teachers are available over call and email, and you can interact with them easily. They are always ready to provide solutions and guidance.
Interview Experience :
As a non-GATE PhD candidate, there was a written exam with a total of 80 marks, and the qualifying cut-off was 50% marks. After that, there was document verification and interview rounds, majorly for research interest areas.
