College infrastructure should be more developed. The classroom should be digital and to increase the number of classrooms.
Entrance Preview :
This College is famous for the Mathematics Department. Mathematics Department of Arya Vidyapeeth College provides Post Graduation courses since 1970. The staff of the department is highly addictive and highly experienced. No need to take Private tuition. If anybody has any doubt then by the remedial class they clarify the doubts. There was a famous mathematician of Assam Mr. Debananda Saikia Sir served in the College.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The College is affiliated to Gauhati University. So the College teach according to the syllabus prescribed by the Gauhati University. College provides Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Geography, Geology, Anthropology, Assamese, Political Science, Economics, English, Philosophy, Education and etc. College also provides Master degree in Mathematics and Chemistry.
Internships Opportunities :
College does not provide an internship. In case if any meritorious students complete master degree from the college then appoint him as a guest lecturer of the college.
Placement Experience :
Well, there are several courses in the College and thousands of students complete their graduation every year from this college. So every year there arrange a placement meet conducted by the placement cell of the College. Mostly private sector company participate to offer the job.
College Events :
1. World Environment day: In every year 5th June is celebrated as the world environment day. Related to the day in the College a plantation programme was arranged. 2.Freshmen Social Ceremony: In every year College arranges social freshmen to welcome all the newcomers to the College. 3. Shilpi was on 17th January. 4. Independence Day of India on 15th August. 5.Republic Day of India on 26th January 6. World yoga day on 21st June. 7. This year College celebrate its Diamond Jubilee.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is not so expensive. Admission fee for the M.Sc in Mathematics is only 7800 INR only per year. Admission fee for the Bachelor Course is also not so expensive it's feasible. There are so many poor students who also pay the fee if such a situation arise that a student can't afford the fee then the college consider his fee.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Under the students, aid fund college provides some financial assistance to the poor students. If any students so poor then his complete fee consider.
Campus Life :
College campus is very clean and beautiful. The gender ratio is almost equal. There is an almost equal number of boys and girls students in the College. There is a Chemistry lab which is so sophisticated. Debate competition held in every month Intra College sometimes inter-college competition also held.
Hostel Facilities :
It's awesome. I am also staying in the College boys' hostel. There are two hostels of the College one is for Boys and another one is for Girls. Hostels are within a 200-meter distance from the College. The food also so good and healthy. Boys hostel is in front of the College Playground so it is so better to play. Inside the hostel campus, there is a small field where we play Bollyboll and sometimes Cricket. Drinking water facility is also there. There is also a study environment. From 7 pm to 10 pm, this is a study hour so during these hours there exist a pin-drop silence. After that we do dinner.
Alumni/Alumna :
Well, there is a strong alumni network of the College. I see that during the Diamond jubilee there was an alumnus meet session where some alumnus came who retired from the job. The students of the Arya Vidyapeeth College is in various position some in politics, some in teaching and some are in administrative service.
Exam Structure :
It's very nice. Every semester there is an internal assessment and at the end of the semester there held a term end final examination. Questions of the exam asked generally application basis. The exam system of the College is highly strict. Nobody can take unfair means in the exam hall.
Admission :
We see the admission notice in the official website of the College and then Apply for the admission. After a week College published the merit list through which I got admission in the College in M.Sc 1st Sem in the Department of Mathematics of Arya Vidyapeeth College, Guwahati for the session 2018-19. I have taken admission on 6th August 2018.
Faculty :
The faculty of the College is highly experienced and dedicated. There is a friend likely behavior between teachers and students. A principal of the College Dr. Pradip Kumar Bhattacharya is of dynamic quality. Teachers always tried to teach in such a way such that students can capture it easily.
