Entrance Preview :
I took AIEEE 2012 and got 199 marks in it i chose this option as one of my school senior recommended it.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course structure is at par with other good rank NITs almost every senior teacher is interested in teaching all senior teachers take their jobs seriously but whether you'll understand what they teach is completely different question some students might get adhoc teacher so they may not be that good as professor sometimes adhoc teacher could be great as well.
Internships Opportunities :
Since I am from Mechanical Engineering branch, internship opportunities for my branch are not great as only handful of companies visit for interns including RBS, hero motocorp, trident, l&t etc but rest assured placement scenario is completely opposite with many companies visiting our college. Also keep in mind other similar ranking NITs the condition is same for internships if you are from computer science branch you will get a lot of good opportunities for internships.
Placement Experience :
Placement scenario for my branch is good i must say it is one of the best in north India(of course except IITs) for computer science branch it is brilliant talking about my branch companies that are visiting or that has visited are Applied Materials (7.5 lac), TATA Motors (6.16 lac), Mahindra and Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Hero Motocorp, Honda two wheelers, Honda four wheelers, Technip, BPCL, CIL, etc.
College Events :
There are three fest ALTIUS Techspardha and confluence out of this altius and techspardha is tech fest and confluence is cultural fest. Fests are as good but they suffer from less enthusiasm from sponsors as Kurukshetra as a city is not big. However as far as other NITs are concerned we can still give some competition them but obviously we can't compete with IITs and other colleges like DTU and NSIT since they must have greater support from sponsors.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
For first year students hostel room are on sharing basis with three students in one room but 2nd, 3rd and 4th year student has personal room for them old hostels are given to new students(1st year) and new hostels are given to other year students i have no complaints for hostels average rentals come out to be 3000 rs per month with mess food and electricity charge included.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Some students apply loan from banks from where they have come and other students apply loans from SBI, NIT Kurukshetra branch.
Campus Life :
Campus life is great you'll have ample time for other preparations like GATE, CAT,GRE etc also if you are interested in cultural activities you'll be provided platform to perform. One can join SAC(Students activity center) and MAC (Music and dramatics). Gender ratio is as good as other govt engineering college that is poor but this year there has been some improvements that can be seen about diversity you can find student from the remote rural area to student from metropolitan area you can find find students from UP to AP, Bihar to MP you'll be never ostracised for being "different".
Alumni/Alumna :
Many alumini of the college is in high holding post also there is alumini Association that is quite axtive and it invites alumini for lectures and motivational speaking.
