Course Curriculum Overview :

Since the uni. board has opted to follow the NEP 2020, the syllabus and the course patterns are very detailly picked for each semester. This education policy also has and lets students to take equal opportunities in learning a subject out of their honours paper, by letting them choose a wide range of common papers that might help in ability enhancement, skill enhancement, multidisciplinary and value added courses. This broadens a students level of expertise too. So its a great way of learning I'd say.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are as open as job offers to students. Teachers also help students by giving them career guidance. Training programs and workshops also take place on regular basis, that doesn't only include college students but also active kids that want to learn new things.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As its a government affiliated college under Guahati University. Except only the commerce stream is private here(which means we have to pay full fees and theres no fee waiver option), though its worth studying commerce in this college as the faculty is strict, and very good when it comes to classes and teaching. The rest of the two faculties(Humanities/Arts and Science)are Govt aided and can be assessed through reservations, fee waiver and ec quotas. College also opens doors to let their students apply to a wide range of govt. Schemed scholarships which are legit and so helpful for students with different societal and financial backgrounds.

Campus Life :

Campus life in GC is really cool, theres a wide range of events conducted from be it Literature writing competitions to Sports meets to General freshers night till Carnivals where students can try honing their artistic and business skills. Infrastructure is really modern and always improving. Social groups and clubs are indeed existing. Infact many and hard to choose as everyone of them is cool. Other organizations like: The prestigious NCC (National Cadet Corps) and NSS( National Service Scheme) are major contributors like other talents and brilliance in this institution.

Admission :

1. Admission is merit based and then comes the spot. 2. The application to apply for this college is from a portal (Samarth) which is for all students across the state use to apply for admission in colleges. 3. The benefits of reservation are the same every place. 4. Theres also other ways to get in, that are through- single girl child scheme, fee waiver, pwd and extra curriculars. 5. Admission process is strictly granted and proceeded as per government guidelines.

Faculty :

Teachers a encouraging and of free spirits. Always ready to help whenever a student has stumbled in a point and need help. Also the staff teach in the teaching faculty teach really well, as well as switch languages whenever a student is having a hard time understanding. Most of the teachers are highly qualified distinguished individuals from great teaching backgrounds. A veteran and specialist I'd say.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose philosophy as my major course as I want to learn about the things we experienced and the way they are the curriculum prepares me well enough to overcome in my day-to-day life I haven't faced any need for improvement in the teaching method. Exams were indeed a difficult task as a student, we hardly had a week to prepare ourselves for the examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

history is interlinked with all subjects. It describes the social formation, decision and mistakes that shapes the world. it gives moral values and mistakes that shouldn't be carried out again. The subject is very interesting and should be considered once.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose BA because of peer pressure, but it wasn't so bad because you can go in any direction. Real world application isn't a thing of the course. But it can help you if you want to study further. Classes have digital boards, that's a plus. Each semester consists of 1 sessional exam and 1 final exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is of 3 year long duration. There's a total of 14 papers and each semester we get specific papers according to our sem ( ex: sociology of religion, sociology of gender, kingship, stratification, etc.) + we have a Generic subject. With generic in every semester we had a compulsory subject with our honors and Generic, indeed it was something new that we learned.

Course Curriculum Overview:

About the course curriculum, I still wonder why they have to put science subjects on the course curriculum of arts students. They would say it's a basic course but it is definitely not. Those arts students came there to learn their main subjects. I think it is unnecessary to put sc subjects there plus it is not basic. Otherwise the main subjects' curriculum is pretty well organised and planned.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like the subject english that is why I chose this course, I'm studying ba in English and i will do post graduation in also english, but in our department student teacher relationship is not good enough, I can't communicate with my department's professor as much. The other problem is last year we gave 3 semesters exams together in a year which should be held after 6months, I would like to request the authorities to give concern about that.
