Dislikes
- Management of the college is very slow and provide information at the end moment keeping students hooked.
- If you want to play sports so you have to go to the main campus of DAVV which is 1 KM away from our college
Course Curriculum Overview :
The 1st year curriculum is not so good as its of no relevance to majority of students. Your main syllabus will start from 2nd year for your respective cources and if you gain good knowledge over them, it's quite easy to grab a campus placement. Talking about exams, you will end up giving 3 mid sem exams per semester which will be held every month during the cource which also makes it quite hard for students to do extra things. Probably by the end of 2nd year.
Internships Opportunities :
Every year almost 20-25 companies come to college to offer jobs, some of them are:- TCS Infosys Zscaler Dusche Bank Accenture Google Goldman Sachs Barclays And many more.... Many companies also offer packages in non-tech background which also helps students with less coding skills to acc in placements. Overall College provide good placements.
Placement Experience :
As IET DAVV holds a good rank within the state, we do get chance for campus placements and company approaches the college in the 3rd and 4th year. For 3rd year students, internships are offered and for 4th year students, same companies offer job. There is a good record of placements from our college, specially if you are interested CS/ IT branch, you will always have edge over other branch students as companies provide 1st preference to CS/IT students. Packages are of very different range, they usually get starts from 3-4 LPA from mass recruiters to 20-30 LPA from companies like Zscaler. So if you have good skills and decent CGPA maintained within college, you don't have to worry about your future alot.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fee for each semester is 42000 and exam fee is 2750. And every year we have 2 semesters. So the total fee which we end up paying in a year is approx 90,000. As many students even face difficulties to pay such high fee, so there are multiple scholarship programs that are run by the govt. and most of the students from each and every category are eligible for these scholarships which provide complete fee waiver, some of them are: MMVY(for all categories) MP task( for all categories) Special scholarship for SC, ST
Campus Life :
Campus Life is chill. If you want to develop other skills aswell so you do have time for that aswell. But it's important to have good time management because most of students also do waste their time doing fun and other stuffs. Infrastructure is not too good as we expect them to be but you will get used to it after some time. Many fests takes place with in a year which also keeps students bussy apart from professional studies, overall it's a good package if you are not getting any IIT or NIT
Admission :
As IET DAVV is a MP state government University, the eligibility criteria to avail this college is through JEE mains examination. As it's ranked 2nd best college to pursue engineering within the state, cutoff are quite high for students. But we do get reservations benefits as well as seats in each branch are also divided as per categories.
Faculty :
In terms of knowledge, faculty in our college in very good. If I specifically speak of professors teaching in CS/IT, they have a great knowledge. But at the same time you have to minimum attendance within their classes because most of the teachers also provide marks based on your attendance during viva. If you have low attendence, even if you did great in viva, you will end up scoring low grades. Also, don't ever mess with them even if it's their mistakes, they sometimes take it personally and then don't provide grades during exams.
