My Journey at IIIT Delhi: A tale of growth and Discovery

Dislikes

  • The college size is not so big it is just 25acres in area.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The courses are great. We can choose courses in any field. After our 4th semester, we are open to all the courses. The forces helped to build my overall confidence and boost me. The curriculum is updated from time to time as time changes. There are several quizzes happen in the middle of the semester the frequency depends of the professor he can take up to 10 or just two including midsems and endsems, the paper difficulty is good enough to fail you if you don;t study in other words its difficult.

Internships Opportunities :

The internships are provided by the college to faculties and companies, and the stipend varies between 20000-100000 rupees. The roles of the internship are Software developer intern, research undergrad etc.

Placement Experience :

From the 7th semester the student is available for college placements as the companies started to visit the college, and the student has to maintain a minimum of 6 CGPA for seating in the college placements. The companies include Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, Meta, Cognizant, JP Morgan, and many more top companies. The highest Package of all time is 1.83 crores per annum, and this year, the highest placement is 47lpa with an average of 21.75lpa. This year, the placement percentage is about 85%; my plans after getting the degree are to work for about 2-3 years and then prepare for Civil Services.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fees are high, and the hike is 10%. Every year, the tuition fees are increased. The education cost will be roughly 24 lakhs, including tuition fees, hostel, and mess. There are scholarships available, such as the Aspire Scholarship, which is a private scholarship in which you get a 100% scholarship, and it is the same for the 100% scholarship that is UNIQLO.

Campus Life :

The name of the annual fest is Odyssey in January, and the name of the technical fest is ESYA in September. The library has all the books, from academics to computer science books to novels and fiction. Every classrooms has a projector a white board and a green boards with chairs. Every sport is provided in the college, but the size is small, comparable to other colleges. So many social clubs exist, including Foobar, enacts, Cyfuse, and many more.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel room is two students in a room with two different beds and two study tables. The quality of food provided in the hostel mess is great. We just have to go to the Student Affairs office, get a form from there and fill and submit it to them, then we will get to the hostel.

Admission :

The courses are offered to the students who took the JEE Mains exam, or there is also an admission process for commerce students through 12th percentage and from UCEED. The application form for the college can be obtained from JAC counselling. The application fee is 1200 for the counseling, and after you got the college, you have to give 96000 to the college to freeze your seat, then you pay the semester fee of 96000 less as you had already given that amount. The reservations are available for EWS/OBC/SC/ST. The JEE Mains exam is difficult as more than 12lakh students took the JEE Mains Exam, and very few got a good government college seat.

Faculty :

The faculty-to-student ratio is about 25-30:1, and the learning experience is great because there are also Teaching assistants who help us with the topics. The faculties are MITian IITians, PhDs, and also foreign professors, so the credentials of the faculty are great, and the approach to teaching is good. We can interact with the faculty at the end of every lecture or the faculty makes a meetup time of about 1 hour 2 times a week in which students can come to their office and discuss with them.

Other Applied Colleges

delhi Technical University | Computer Science and engineering

Because the research faculty of IIIT Delhi is best among all the universities in Delhi or Across the country and the placement is also great comparable to other colleges.

Placement Experience:

Placements are going abyssmal recently. due to sudden hike in number of students and the recession going on, there is utter discomfort among students regarding the placement season. most companies do visit the campus, but theyjust take 2 or 3 students and leave. the packages are pretty good, but only few people get to bag those. so at the end of season, there is a few population placed in good companies, and a big population left unemployed.

Good placement opportunities student can sit for placement from 7th semester companies will come. Avg package for cse/IT is around 7 lpa and for ece is 4-5 lpa. No good internship opportunities on campus you have to try off campus. Top recruiters are zomato, chayos, amazon, zs associates, josh technology, tcs, juapay, cvent, cognizant, yamaha and many more companies.... Highest package is 50 lpa in Microsoft and lowest is 3.5 lpa.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is okayish nor too good neither too bad the average package here is around 6 lpa which is less but some companies do come and place the students in the campus itself also the network of alumni is good they also apply for offcampus placement and try build a network for the juniors. We often get internship notification from our seniors only

Course Curriculum Overview:

DU has many reputable colleges and departments that offer high-quality education, but like any institution, there may be variations in the quality of education depending on the specific course, faculty members, resources available, and other factors. there is some frequency for exam along with your perspective on their moderate level

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester companies started hiring interns which happens incampus obviously and they also pay kind of decent stipend somewhere around 20-40k. Placements here is decent enough like if you want that 1cr package you'll have to look for off campus placement.

Last years and around 60 % of the students have been placed. Also the average package has gone down and most companies are IT, consultancy and finance. Especially low placements for core engineering fields

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to pursue engineering and ipu has a great reputation. placements is also decent.Faculty is nice and teaching method is also nice. Student ratio is pretty bad especially in cse. There are two exams in one semester the midsem and endsem. Exams are moderately difficult. The college is also in a very lively location in Delhi and has many places for students to hang out. Faculty at msit, is well educated and best at their job of teaching, almost all the teachers are experience holders, teaching at msit. It's easy to pass the exams If you study from teachers notes because most of the questions are related to their notes in midsem and endsem. Exams are of 30 marks and 75 marks and passing marks are 12 and 30.But the cse branch is considered as top branch in the msit and is preferred over the other branches is what I have been told by the seniors. The faculty is quite qualified and know how to teach labs are also well maintained .
