  • Few old teachers are too strict and force you to follow the curriculum of the college which is not that good and helpful

Course Curriculum Overview :

The syllabus of the college is quite simple as of other colleges not much special. However, the curriculum is very outdated and does not apply to the real world and students have to prepare a lot by themselves. The project is still real-world implemented but the teaching is not. The course needs to be revised a lot for the real world although the new faculty is working on it and changing the course a lot including more subjects that provide real-world skills and prepare one for the real world. Lower core branches also learn a bit of coding as well as AutoCAD software to be industry-ready. Each semester consists of 2 CTs (Class Tests) and 1 end semester exam including practical exams. Few branches like ECE have their lab CTs also that are internal practical for the internal marks but those are basically over your attendance and written work + viva.

Placement Experience :

Campus placements are not that good the average is around 6LPA to 7LPA when you are from branches ECE or above otherwise it is 5 LPA, but culture is pretty good here and hence off-campus placements are quite good each year 1 or 2 students get a package of above 1cr and 5 to 6 students get a package of above 50 LPA. Campus placement is based on your CGPA and exam taken by the company.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of this college are pretty average a total of 1 lac 41 thousand for all branches except CS-AI and CS-SF which have more fees than others as these are privately run by the college. Tuition fees remain the same almost every year but the mess fees hike every year by 1000. If your mess amount remains at the end of the year then it gets refunded and if the bill surpasses the amount you have to pay extra for it. Students are eligible for state government scholarships if they meet the criterion for it and college helps them to get this scholarship which pays out the maximum amount of tuition fees of the students and most of the fees of SC/ST students.

Campus Life :

IET has many clubs including the coding club (fractal), robotics club, Google Developers Student Club (GDSC), dance club (insaniax), drama club (Josh), music club (swaranjili and aurora), literally club (excelsior), Social club (Parmarth), and media club White Board. These all clubs have proper working and they play a key role in the social life of a student. They help to compete against other colleges showcase their talents and give everyone a platform to show and follow their passion.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are not up to the mark as the fees of hostels are also quite low. First-year hostels and second-year hostels a 3 seater hostels after that there are 6 hostels for the final year and third-year students are single seater each except the 6th hostel which is 3 seater and given to the students with low CGPA after 2nd-year hostel is allotted based on CGPA 5 hostels are single seater. There are 9 hostels for boys and 5 hostels for girls.

Admission :

It takes admission through the JEE mains and the cut-off changes every year. All the criterion of JEE mains is carried forward here and it also provides reservations to the OBC/SC/ST candidates with a home state quota. If you belong to an army family or a police family you will get an extra defense quota which has special seats for them. It has it's own counseling where you have to apply and fill out the forms and documents to apply it takes admission through the AKTU counseling.

Faculty :

Few faculties are quite good and they help you a lot in growing as in this college there is a batch of 72 over whom there is 1 faculty of each subject as well as there are also mentor faculty over a group of 8 students to guide and share any problem of the students to the faculty. Teachers here are mostly PhD scholars with assistants and they have good knowledge but are a bit lazy to teach hence one has to learn a lot of things on their own. You can interact with the faculty whenever you want during college hours and will surely help you in whatever way they can. Few are very stubborn, especially of the ECE branch to whom one may not approach for there own good and try to figure out things on there own.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students can start getting placement if they had done an internship with any company. Otherwise, in the 7th and 8th semesters, most of the students get the placement. Many renowned companies come and offer jobs in college. About 70 percent of the students get the placement.

More specifically if I am talking about placement is that if you want to get good placements in dei that you must maintain your sgpa at least 8 points for you to appear in the placement cell. There are many companies visited in college like torrent power for electrical branch and other for their respective branches. Around 60% of students get their placements through college and it also depends on students' ability and skills. Since I am in the 4th semester so yes from 3rd year students get their training or internship through college to students with good grades. So you must have to maintain at least 8 sgpa for better placements.

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college have been great so far. All the major companies and tech giants like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, AWS, DELL, etc came for placements this year. The average package this year for BTECH students was 8.6 lakhs per annum. Also, the highest package so far has been 44 lakhs p.a. Almost all students are placed with good packages so it is an ideal choice to choose Bennett University for higher education.

Placements are good in GCET, Although they vary from time to time. For placements, students are eligible from the 7th Sem. Companies like Direct-I, Samsung, Amazon, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, etc. all visited the campus. The highest package I now am 21LPA buy it can be more. And except recession 60-70%, people are placed. Rest it all depends on students as well.
