- One thing i have liked being a law student is that faculties are very well qualified and actively engaged with everyday affairs to teach in updated manner. The teaching way and curriculum is covering all the aspects to achieve the goal.
- Campus life and social interaction are also well and good. One may hear that social status matters a lot but that is not true. Students from all the areas and aspects of life are studying together.
Dislikes
- Being one of the best law colleges in IPU, it can be exhausting as the environment is quote competitive.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The relevance of curriculum for the law subject is on peak as i believe the subjects are taught in quite a detail and are divided in such a way that will ease the pressure and along with that help yo attain the desired results. However, when it comes to subjects of BA, the curriculum is not structured and various topics are quite vague which adds to the troubles.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fee is paid yearly i.e., for two semesters. For law, the fee is approximately 1,10,000 thereby total course fee for 5 years is 5.5 lakhs to 6 lakhs including other one time chargesas well. The fees is justified as if we take other private colleges or even government colleges offering integrated law into consideration the total fee can go above 8 lakhs which is quite costly.
Campus Life :
Since the college is affiliated under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, the main campus festival is also held and in the college itself 2 to 3 festivals are held annually which are varying upon the level of scales. There are over 4 libraries which are accessible to everyone and common rooms as well. Extra curriculum events are held on regular basis which particularly revolve around sports, drama, etc. There are various central as well as departmental committees and societies which excel in that particular sphere and also participate in various competitions.
Admission :
For law, the entrance process is to appear in the national level entrance test called CLAT (common law admission test). The scores of the test determine the college however, one will need to register in the ipu and then upload the score sheet followed by Counseling method and college preferences. The process is very easy and simple. The whole process will take around 1 to 1.5 month approximately and is totally hybrid. However for paying the final fee one is required to visit the campus.
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is 60. The ratio is good i believe as the techniques and methods adopted by faculty is quite effective. The methods are interactive and most of the faculties try to stay updated as to impart knowledge in a better way. Faculty members are very supportive and available most of the time to ask for queries or anything else for that matter whether they are extra-curricular activities or anything else.
