Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is perfectly set for the students to learn from the basics and clear their fundamentals and to grow on the topic next Electrical engineering being the oldest and most advanced in IIT BHU influenced me to choose this stream as the lab components, professors etc are best as it gets for this stream. We get to work on real time machines and to learn about the working very closely and professionally so I would say it is really good experience for a student to apply it on real time as the knowledge he/she can receive here is inaccountable Only thing the campus or college being very old the classrooms are a bit underdeveloped comparing to today's classrooms and have a bit shortage of space for 150+ students to accommodate in is the only issue I faced during my course Frequency of exams is as it should be 2 important exams in a 4 month span with moderate to hard difficulty is what makes is perfect for the students. As the questions revolve around important topics and concepts
Internships Opportunities :
Internship period is about for 4 months Mnay companies come in that period of time and take tests and interviews for the short listed students and the stipend vary from as low as 10k to 1.5+ lakhs per month The internship period is for 2 months during the summer vacation period.
Placement Experience :
Placements are very good but as recession is hurting every job there is the placements have fallen down a bit. Various big companies visit the campus every year such as Google, Microsoft, JP Morgan, Amazon , etc The highest package was around 45 LPA and the lowest was arou 7 LPA Percentage keeps verying every year and due to recession we can't confirm the percentage of students placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee structure moslty includes tuition fees which vary for different categories such as for sc/st the tuition fee is fully waived and for obc it is around 30k except these amounts you have to pay for hostel facilities and campus facilities which is not more than 5k again it can vary according to you category. As for hostel everyone has to pay 15k for the mess which is common for everyone For obc there is a fee remission which is a type of scholarship which waives particular fees according to the students family income group
Campus Life :
Campus life is very pleasant if you have good friends, your ambitions, hobbies, etc will keep you busy throughout the day. As there are various clubs and almost each and every hobby of a student is covered by atleast one club so you would find the students and friends having similar hobbies as you
Hostel Facilities :
Do not expect much from the hostel rooms as they get smaller and smaller as every year passes by but sufficient enough for you to spend months as the time passes very quickly. Meals depends on various hostel you would even find south indian mess for south indians IIT BHU has better mess than other IIT's.
Admission :
Admission process is always hectic involving every issue such as online issues of servers etc. but all of this during admissions is handled by Josaa which is a committee for joint exams. During my time of admission (2020) which was affected due to corona I had to face a lot of issues of deadline also the less fluent the staff is the more difficulty arises. Maybe now they have made this process for fluent but during my time it was very miserable
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is verg good each and evry student can communicate directly with the professors and seek help with their assistants regarding any issues. Teaching is very professional and can even seek help with the lab components accordingly A student can mail for a particular time slot or can even visit professors cabin for any kind of meet Professors are friendly but also very strict and punctual about the work or project given to you
