Course Curriculum Overview :

In terms of syllabus for psychology Hons, the syllabus seems well updated. It covers almost all topics that a student requires to study at bachelor's level. Practical classes are rather infrequent. Timing and frequency of exams is very unpredictable at times and often causes immense stress on students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Overall fees is around ?2100/- per year, including the semester exam fees. There hasn't been any significant hike in fee recently. If one can find a campus alloted hostel or a hostel nearby, then it's fine, otherwise for day scholars travelling everyday to the college can be quite pricey. UP government scholarship is available for students.

Campus Life :

The campus life is rather more focused on academics where not many events are conducted officially by faculty. There are some clubs, which keeps organising youth parliaments, quizzes and other competitions and meetings for dance, music, Poetry and debates. College offers NCC course.

Admission :

Admission through CUET exam Almost all information regarding admission is available on Bhu portal or CUET SAMARTH website. For admission into BA, general test and English/any language exam was compulsory. More over, estimate of 55-60% in 12th Boards was required. Reservations for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and employee ward, PWD and sports quota is available. Exam schedule is not fixed, however the difficultly remains moderate.

Faculty :

The faculty is experienced and cooperative. Professors from history, sociology and psychology department are remarkably very good educators and provide many opportunities to have a open talk with students for extra curricular opportunities also. Teaching method overall is quite traditional sticking to the prescribed textbooks and previous year questions.

I wanted to prepare for civil services, which is why I did B.A. from a good college. I got good subjects here like history, polity, and Hindi, for which the teachers here provided good preparation. In this preparation, I have built a good foundation in history and polity, which will contribute to my success in civil services. The teachers' teaching method was good. They did not take the class just to study but they paid more attention to explaining.

The study of course is well and fine the way teachers tell you everything is so good you can understand each and everything there teaching methods are so good I don't think there is a need to change in teaching methods. The duration of classes is 45 min. Duration of exams in objective and subjective paper is 1:30 min and 3 hours respectively.

My course- is Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology. BHU has the largest faculty strength (34) of AIHC in the whole nation. The student-teacher ratio is also good. And are quite easy to pass. Midterm exams and semester exams ate the two main tests.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose political science because the following politics is my passion and political science is quite helpful in preparation for UPSC CSE. Talking about faculty: the student ratio, there's approximately 1 faculty for every 10 students. Faculty qualification is something which needs to improve a lot. Teaching methods are ordinary with very few exceptions, as far as my course is concerned. Term exams are usually held on time and the difficulty level is usually between easy to moderate.
