- Academics wish Silicon is one of the best university and Placement percentage is quite good according to the money you invested.
- Teachers are friendly, one can contact any teacher for any help despite of branch they are and branch's Professor.
Dislikes
- The campus life isn't good. You will find very small campus area. You will not be able to enter into grounds without the permission of authority.
- Many classroom of ECE n EEE building don't have AC's. Though every classrooms are re innovating slowly, still it's quite very hot in summer season.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The very first aspect of curriculum that influenced me to choose this course is the government job. In core branch it's easy to opt. For the government jobs. EEE is very practical branch, in every minute you will come across real life examples and learn how they work. This course include much of theory papers and course is very vast and difficult.
Internships Opportunities :
Companies like micron, Deloitte, PWC, IBM, Harbour technology and many come for internship and in core companies like TPODCL, TPNOCL, etc. comes for hiring intern. Projects like anti sleep Alam system, drone, water alarm, website, development, etc are done with course only, apart from course one can do what ever he wants to.
Placement Experience :
Campus placement is good and more better than many of the colleges in Bhubaneswar. Companies like Wipro, Infosys,TCS , cognizant, Accenture, HCl, Deloitte, PWC, IBM, Harbour technology, etc. Fir core branch like ECE and EEE microtex, harvel, Bajaj, tech Mahindra, tata power, jsw, etc. Highest package is 40Lpa for software developer and average package is 5-6 lpa. My plan to opt for core companies and get hired.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee structure when I joined was 150000, and they have policy of increasing 10000 each year. Yes you can apply for scholarship test and can avail the discount amount from the total course fee Collage has placement or employment percentage of 98. Big companies like Wipro, TCS, cognizant, Accenture, HCl, Deloitte, PWC and many more IT companies comes and in core tata power, jsw, havel, Bajaj, optcl, and many more.
Campus Life :
Campus life is good but not best. Though campus is small, it's difficult to find a place to Hangout. Collage have a place called Skylab where students from 2nd year to 4th year seat together and help each other. Collage have 2 library and has ample amount of free space to read and learn. Collage has minimum of 100 numbers of clubs to join and learn. Sports like cricket, football, basketball, badminton, tennis,etc are available to play and enjoy.
Admission :
Admission is done through Jee mains exam rank and you must be under 300000 rank to opt any branch in silicon University. You can apply through NTA councilling and report collage for admission . No there is no reservation benefits, you have to enter through merits. Admission process is good.
Faculty :
Faculty to students ratio is quite good in Silicon University than almost many of the colleges in Bhubaneswar. There is 1 faculty for every 50 students. As the number of students in Silicon is medium, so faculty are available for each n every student. Faculty are easy to approach, they are very friendly and very innovative they acquire smart way of teaching and guide students to produce better results. I interact with faculties almost every day, they are very friendly and we'll behaved.
