Course Curriculum Overview :
After doing this course one can get more time than other courses to prepare for higher studies. This is a professional course that encompasses studies from 5domains like nutrition,textile, Psychology, extension and resource management and consumer sciences.
Internships Opportunities :
One can do internship in textile field, NGOs, hospitals, Food company or factory NAHEP. Many internship opportunities are provided by the university for the students which also has some stipends for them. University organises internship mela in which companies comes and offers various internships to students.
Placement Experience :
Placements are held by placement and counseling department for final year students in which every year Pradan An NGO company comes and offers various students from various fields with a starting package of 3.6Lakhs
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Rs.20000 is paid for mess fees if someone is taking the hostel and including tuition fees game fees hostel fees rest of the amount is 29K-30K per semester which makes it a total of 50K/semester and people with less income and other castes are given scholarships
Campus Life :
Campus of pantnagar is very large which includes University hospital, choti market,badi market and various places where one can go and have some good time with friends. Campus also has Stadium for students interested in sports and for them who wants to excel in sports.
Hostel Facilities :
There are 22 Hostels of Pantnagar which can accomodate at least 200students/hostel. Mess are private mess which has an average quality taste and conditions of hostel are neither good nor bad. Hostel rent is Rs.1000 which is included in the fees.
Admission :
Eligibility of the course is that a student should be intermediate passed from pcb or pcm stream and then he can apply for the gbpuat entrance exam in which three counselings are held and cut off for general goes to 1700 there are 2 types of seat one is normal and other is paid for ehich you have to pay 50000 extra per year... Faculty :
Faculties in Pantnagar are top notch. Teachers are approachable and help students to excel in each and every possible way that is best for them. In home science college we have one male professor and rest of them are female.
