- This university is the second largest university in the world spread in around 12 acres. It is full of greenery giving you a fresh environment.There is a university stadium here which i very big supporting all sports activites.
- It also has the largest library in world covering all the fields in its books. Professors are really good it just depends on how eagerly you wants to study .Seniors are good here providesa great support acadimically and socially.
Dislikes
- If you are coming here thinking to have a good placement then just drop it .This college doesn not provides a good placement you have to pursue higher study after btech or do preparation for government exams for successful future.
- There is no night life in this college. After certain time it is not allowed to go outside the hostels. Also keeping your personal vechile except cycles are not allowed here although seeing on to the fact how big is this university.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am from electrical engineering to be honest i chosed this course because this was the highest branch which i can get at this rank. Although it is heard that it is the most difficult branch in the engineerng. But by taking this rather cs it the percentage of me being unemployed has reduced a lot as there is hardly any inflammation in the jobs of core branch.Curriculum is good and well managed.With academic knowledge practicals are made to be done to make us know how to apply this.In between all this many events are there which definitely enhances our social and vocal skills.Curriculum is way too old although it is best but it still need that modern touch in its curriculum and teaching methods like using of smart board while teaching etc.In a semester three times the exams are held 2 prefinals of 25 marks each and 1 final of 50 marks.passing marks should be above 50 when all these three are added .prefinals are lot more easier that finals so give more emphasize on prefinals..
Placement Experience :
student become eligible from final year for placements. although the rate of placement is low but major portion of students opt fro higher studies or preparing for government exams.companies like tcs wipro hcl foundation visited here offering avg package of 4 lakh per annum.percentage of student getting placement is relatively low .my plan after getting degree is preparing for gate exam and doing my mtech from higher colleges
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fees here is 25000 there is no such increase in the fees.As the instituition being the government one the fees is relatively low as compared to other colleges for btech.there is hardly any increase in the fees a small increase is done after certain years.The complete cost of education here is 47560 here which include 20000 mess charges 25000 tuition fees while other amount as water cost room cost etc.There are various scholarships provided by the university as the one whose parents are not from government sector and has low income are given 50000 per year as scholarships. Branch opener has free tuiton fees and has to give only mess and hostel charges. category students are given free laptops for academic purposes by the university.
Campus Life :
campus life here is good . the infrastructure provided here is good and gettng better day by day.many fest and events are organized here like razzmatazz colosseum spardha conflux,etc enhanching and giving you the new experience of college life.it has biggest library in the india having books related to evey fields and is really very good.in some classrooms thereare projectors for teaching . it has a university stadium where every sports is played containg its own gym having seperate one for girls.music clubs drama clubs sports clubs like this are present run by seniors which help in learning new skill.campus life here is good
Hostel Facilities :
here the room renting facility is not available .you have to striclty reside in hostel during your degree.in the hostel room you are provided with one table chair and bed and one bulb by your side.meal offered is average means it is not so good and you would be albe to eat it.menu differs ecery day serving 2 times a week paneer and chicken.registration process for hostels are done during the admission time and all the important things related to it are informed throigh email.
Admission :
We had to apply in Uttarkhand counselling for this college on the basis of percentile and rank the specific branch is allocated to the student.For the electrical branch in between 1 lakh to 2 lakh rank from general category you can get this branch .Although after 3 utu rounds spot rounds are also coducted on which the cutoff is relatively very high. Benefits of reservation are great here means at around 70 percentile you can get into this electrical branch .All the admission process are carried on by coming to university itself and all the detail about fees location all are emailed to your registered email id. It sholud be noted that at the end when the semester starts then also spot rounds are also held in which there is large jump by student from one branch to another so just don't miss that.
Faculty :
There is no shortage of faculty here there are adequate number of teachers needed for every branch .Although in first year as the syllabus of all the branches are same two branches sit together in the class. Making the class strength to 100 to 120 students per class which is too high.Some courses teachers are good give their full eforts while teaching in the class while some are not that serious. In this college regular attendance is must should be above 85 %.Teachers are well qualified, all are doctorate and had good knowledge in their field.Courses offere arerelevant and give brief knowledge about industry . Each semester consists of 3 exams 2 prefinals and 1 final .Final is of 50 marks whie prefinals of 25 and the passing marks should be above 50 out of 100 in the semester.Mangement of teachers are good except some 2 or 3 which are worse having that heart of stone.At the end semester exams depends on how much student have studied and scoirng in prefinals is much easier than in final
Interview Experience :
no there are no sort of test like this during admission . the admission is simply done on basis of perecntile and rank got in joint entrance examination. just focus on jee exam and fill utu after it and your are eligible for admission.some induction programme are done during the early days making you explore the college.
