Course Curriculum Overview :

Economics honours courses in DU is one of the most comprehensive, hard and in depth economic courses in the country. Alongside core economics subjects the course offers electives from which you can choose according to your preferences. Also, there is compulsory English communication course, data analysis course etc. which equips you for the practical world.

Internships Opportunities :

Deloitte has offered writing intern roles and other roles. Many students who have interned with companies in the internship process later got placed in the same company with attractive packages. Internship cycle typically starts in the second year of your course. From third semester onwards you can start applying for internships. The placement cell is also in charge of interships. Placement cell provides assistance and guidance in every step of the way .

Placement Experience :

For campus placement students can start sitting in their 5th semester onwards. More than 100 companies have visited the college for placements this year. Highest package offered this year was around 35 LPA. Average pack offered is almost 15 LPA. Even companies like Blackstone, Deloitte, HSBC and other top 4 companies and startups have visited. I'm planning to pursue higher education in economics itself. Hence I did not sit for placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The complete course of education for the three years of undergraduate was 90000 for me. 30000 each year. And fee hikea happen rarely by very small amounts. you have multiple scholarships available. And if your family has low levels of yearly income, you can avail concession by following the procedures. I have availed a fee concession of 10000 rupees in my final semester. Internship opportunities provide very attractive stipends.

Campus Life :

Srcc has 2 annual fests. Crossroads and the business conclave. Crossroads was held in May this year and business conclave in April. Crossroads had hosted esteemed guests such as Atif aslam and KK and all in the past. Every classroom is centrally air conditioned including the tutorial rooms. Library has wide variety of books available where you can take a book without hassle using your student ID card. Societies are very popular and active is srcc. Which works effectively.

Admission :

Eligibility: 10+2 passed . The course in 10+2 should have mathematics as a combination to be eligible. Application form can be found in the srcc website when applications are open. Admission process for me was completely through online. So it was hassle free and easy.

Faculty :

We have tutorial groups with just 8-10 students in one group, every week there is a tutorial session with faculty and these tute groups for each subject. So you get an hour designated with the faculty for asking doubts, concerns or any other matter. Most of the faculty in economics department has a PhD and are professors. So, as a student I've experienced expertise while being in the class. Most classes are much like an interactive discussion than a lecture, which makes it easier to pay attention

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)

Srcc is one of the best ranked College of economics, and since I got admission there, I chose to go there. No other college seemed like a better choice.

Lovely Professional University - [LPU] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

Since the tuition fee was high as it was a private college

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course was good for me as I'm preparing for the upsc civil service examination so political science helped me a lot in my optional subject. Through my curriculum I got to know many theories and approaches that we can see in our daily lives and as I just said I want to go into bureaucracy so it is helpful for me. There is no improvement needed as such because my professors were actually so good. We used to have monthly tests for our internal and semester examinations which were on average neither easy nor difficult.

Placement Experience:

From last semester students become eligible for campus placements. There is below average placement in this college. Students almost opt for higher studies. But still there are many companies which visits but they offered on an average 3 lakh per annum package. Only 20% students got placement and rest of them opted for higher studies. My plan was clear at that time to go for research in economics

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been a lover of English as long as I can imagine. Being in Miranda only brings me closer to my beloved, as each one of my professors only seem to strengthen my affection of the language and for the literature it offers. It teaches you in abundance about how the world used to work and how it works today. One who studies english shall never ever fail to navigate their way through life. Considering the examination, if you have it in you to look at things beyond their exterior, you'll ace this subject. Though, I must state that being a subject course, it takes a little more than "one to two days before exam studies" to score a CGPA higher than 8.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As we can see , teaching method depends on old teaching that is reading and writing, professor comes and read the paragraph of the book and meanwhile students are noted it down...while some teachers prefers to practical learning other than this. The course that is selected by the students having career itself but we have to take notice that it's matter of opportunity gives to them.

Third-year students are eligible for campus placement opportunities. Some of the companies that came to our college are PlanetSpark, RSVI, IDFC First Bank, FNP, Zoconut, etc. The highest package offered for our course is around 10LPA and the average package is 4-5LPA for positions like a translator, editor, content manager/creator, etc. However, the placement percentage of our college/course isn't that high. The average percentage of placement in our college is approx. 40%. My plan after completing the degree is to have a job alongside my Masters.
