What Students Say
Likes
- Teachers are supportive but only if you show research interest.
- As per mtech is concerned, all over everything is quite strict like academics vise
Dislikes
- The college system is very strict for the attendance. They would detain you no matter what if you attendance is below 75%
- The college puts a lot of pressure on you, there are regular classes from morning to evening.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum i guess is similar to every pther college. Although there should be subjects like more programming languages should be taught to bioinformatics students as there background is biotechnology. The time table is quite hectic and should be changed. Exams are taken twice in one semester- mid sem and end sem, the exams are shown on time and every teacher do their best to discuss the answer sheets and answer of every question which is one thing i liked the most.
Internships Opportunities
There are multiple internship opportunities available, and many of them provide PPO so there are chances of getting placed after the internship. Mostly students from the whole batch gets placed in an internship which gives you a good exposure.
Placement Experience
As per placements are considered, nsut is very good. It allows different companies to come and hire. There are multiple tech placements, non-tech placements, even government placements and research placements. The average package is around 10 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees without any accommodation just the tuition fee is 1,55,000 rupees which i think is verg high. Because everyone cant afford such high fees per year. There are many other universities with comparatively less fees and are pretty good. I guess the fees depends upon the type of college. NSUT is a brand so they usually have high fees for all courses
Campus Life
The campus life is pretty good. Library is a good place to sit and learn. There are many extracurricular activities being organised every other day. There are many canteens and the campus is huge. Overall, the campus life is very very good.
Admission
For masters, you have to be gate qualified which will allow you to have a stiped of 12,600 rupees per month. Although the university, also provides admission to non-gate students by having a university level exam with application fee around 1500 rupees. The non-gate students are also provided stipend after they clear an interview which is taken by the department heads and professors.
Faculty
The faculty is no doubt the best, although it depends from teacher to teacher. Teachers really put efforts in teaching. You really get to learn alot and get exposure. And the teachers are always ready to help no matter whether they teach you or not i mean even if they dont take your subjects, you can easily interact and learn.
Other Applied Colleges
Delhi Technological University - [DTU] | Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Bioinformatics)
The fees was higher, and it was far away from my home. Also i didn’t like the culture of the college
