the campus it is a very large campus with lot of greenery and very soothing vibe to it.
the faculty, they are very good in teaching and teach very hard concepts in an easy manner.
the opportunities to grow as a person through different extra curricular activities.

Dislikes

sometimes the schedule gets very hectic that can affect your sleep cycle.

i chose this course as handeling a project in civil engineering seems very intruiging to me. we have 22 students in our class. faculty in iit delhi are highly qualified and the teaching methods adopted are very interactive and interesting. we have to mid semester exam and one final semester exams, the shcedule for which is provided in the beginning of the semester itself.

Class Size: 22Course Fees: INR 66000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

we have to give a total of 79000 as fees for 1st year and 46000 for the second year. as an mtech student we receive teaching assistanship of 12400 every month, campus are yet to come but from the earlier batches the result were positive.

Campus Life

campus life in iit delhi is as same as in every iit, that is interesting. we have two fest one technical and one cultural, tryst and rendezvous respectively. they are held around march. library is as good as it could be with lots of resources helpful staff and a good quite environment for studying. classrooms are equipped with projectors, centralized ACs and good lighting conditions with comfortable seats. there are lots of extracurricular activities from sports to cultural, one can take part according to their interests. this includes singing, designing, dancing, lawn tennis and many more. for all the information one can visit the site of boards of student welfare website of iit delhi.

Hostel Facilities

hostel are nice with single and double accommodation. mess facilities are available in all the hostels in iit delhi and the food provided is also good and hygienic. hostels are allotted to all the students when they get admission to college, they are affordable and have very good facilities.

Hostel Fee: INR 104160 per year

Admission

for admission in M.Tech in IIT, Delhi, i have given GATE exam, qualifying which i used COAP portal for applying in different IITs. After applying for IITs there were several rounds of counselling following which i got Construction Management in IIT Delhi. the application fee for COAP is zero, but for applying in IITs every IIT has its own fees that can be seen on their respective websites.

At the end of the 2nd year almost 90% of the batch is placed and average is around 14 and median around 13.

placements are offered on the campus. the last mass recruiter was google and facebook. hcl and microsoft. they hired lot of students and the highest package offered was 30lakh per annum and it was amazing. i was quite amazed. i was offered 15lakh package after bachelors but i wanted to go fot masters and hetr i am.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in power electronics that's why I opted for this course. In different iits they float the different program like in iit kanpur there is power engineering & in iit delhi there are mtech program in power electronics, control, power system etc. Overall on combining all the sub domain of electrical approximately 80-90 gets student got admission in iit delhi in 2022-23. After getting admission, within two month we have to give minor exam & the pattern of exam & time schedule highly attracted me.

Best years of My life!

Placement Experience:

placements are very good and each year the numbers keeps on getting better. In year 2022, 50 students got offer above 1cr. and over a 1000 students got placed in 15 days. The average package goes upto 20 lakhs. Computer science and Electrical departments have the best figure in terms of placements. Mostly companies come for frofiles like Software Developer , Quantitative researcher/ trader, Data scientist/analyst and hardware engineer(VLSI).

Doomsday Judgement of IITD

IITD is an old IIT and has an entrepreneurial atmosphere making it my first choice.I applied for the some other colleges I am comparing with ahead. IIT Madras is good in research, IIT Roorkee is said to has an atmosphere for UPSC aspirants, IIT Bombay is a rounded college. Rank issues dictate which college to choose ultimately. The first process of process was to qualify for JEE mains.
