  • Hostel food, lack of technological advancement, hundreds of paperwork in administration.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The MSc Mathematics course is more pure based rather than applied. Pure subjects like number theory and geometry are highly valued here. Applied subjects are also taught in sufficient amount butbless than pure. Syllabus is humungous. The syllabus and course structure is very helpfull for exams like NET JRF etc. technology is lacking, things like MATLAB and LaTex are not taught die to lack of technological advancement. Exams are conducted twice a semester in a regular basis as mentioned in the academic calender. The exams are really tough and a student needs to be highly thorough in the subject in order to get good grades otherwise many students struggle to even just pass the exams.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Semester fees for PG is around 825 per semester meaning 1700 around per year. Fees hikes are a rare occurrence. Cost of education is really low. No scholarship or aid is provided by the university and no kind of economic help is provided by the university. There is a programme named "earn while learn" where students coming under low income bracket may apply in order to make some side income along with studies.

Campus Life :

Sports events are regularly conducted like AGAS (Annual Games And Sports), VARCHAS (inter hostel sports) and many more. Some cultural events are now postponed indefinitely due to some issues. Books are widely available in the library. Multiple copies of the same book is ther improving availability. Latest editions are also there. Classroom are equipped with smart boards and projectors helping teaching. Many groups and courses are run like Mountaineering, NCC, NSS etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel buildings are really good but rooms are small. Food is not good in various hostels but in selected hostels like Dalmia or Bhagwandas the food is good. Hostel is affordable. If living in PGs then Lanka area or Hyderabad gate area is good but for mode of communication you must have something like cycle or bike.

Admission :

Admission is through CUET for both UG and PG. Application forms for the exams are widely available in the internet. Admission process in the university level is very slow due to high amount of paper work and very slow administration. The admission process can be improved by introducing more technology in the process.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is concerning but the professors try to solve most of the doubts the students ever have. The professors are very helpful and are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. The teachers can be approached any time of the day and they are always happy to help.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The campus provide hands on experience in this course. The curriculum is updated according to the new trends in the field of forensic science. They provide hands on experience on case studies, projects, laboratory experiments and whole crime scene investigation exposure from the 1st step reaching to crime scene till getting it the evidence collected packed and sent to the particular department for their examination. Here we have learnt about FIR (First Information Report) proper sealing of evidence and labelling them. They have prepared us for real world crime investigation. But i think their is still some improvement is needed in curriculum as the course provides us all the detailed learning about the laboratory related and investigation related things but with upcoming trends i think we should also learn the crime related to digital platforms like cyber crime, frauds, scams, Phishing which are new crime trends in our society so that we can get more job opportunities in forensic field

Course Curriculum Overview:

Till class 12 I don't want to study chemistry but in the university my whole perpective is changed because of my professor as they make the lessons quite easy. They not only focus upon the current part of lessons but also starts from the starting i.e they focus upon the improvement of basics. Every thing is nice but timings are not good as it takes complete day.

Firstly, I like zoology as a subject as it really gives us knowledge regarding every single life forms . The curriculum lead me to find ways to deal with organisms. Animal behaviour is a subject which needed some more improvements. Exams were continuous and leads to pressure on a difficulty level.

Placement Experience:

Actually from the 2nd semester, students can apply for placements. Almost 50-70% of students were placed in this course. The highest and lowest package of salary is offered and it depends on the performance of students. The highest salary is something 20, 000 per month on the other hand the lowest salary is 35, 000 per month. And average salary offer in course is 20, 000 per month approx. There are many companies like TCS, HTC, Wipro, Flipkart and Amazon are in our course. almost 50-70% can get internships from my college. My plan after MSC is to teach in a higher college at a high level. I am also applying for a good job.
