Course Curriculum Overview :

courses have been updated from 23 24 batch where you wont be able to find common courses around with other branches.every branch has their specific courses which lay them career oppurtunities from 2nd year itself

Class Size : 45Course Fees : INR 12000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internship oppurtunities are available here from the start of 3rd year. students need to write tests for internship oppurtunities and their cgpa should be good enough.stipends are available from some companies.

Placement Experience :

Placements here in nit calicut were fine enough.the averahge packages is around 12 lakhs.80 to 85 percent people are getting placements every year.the highest package here in nit calicut last year is 61 lakhs offered by google.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

course fee is around 45000 for general and 12000 for treservation students.nsp scholarship is available for st/sc students and nfe for bc and gen ews students.loans are available there itself in the campus.

Campus Life :

thathva and ragam are the biggest events which are organized here on a large scale where thathva is the largest technical fest in south india.events and fests are organized by students fot atmost all festivals.street play,mime,etc etc clubs.

Hostel Facilities :

for first years,one room is provided for 4 members and for 2nd and 3rd years 2 members per room and 1 per room per final year.food is not really that good.combined hostel and mess fees per semester is 33000.

Hostel Fee : INR 33000 per year

Admission :

we can get an admission there after clearing jee mains.since the college is one of the top 5 nits the cutoffs are barely high around 97 to 98 for general students who are pirsuing civil.there are mid and end sem for every sem.the exams are moderate to tough

Faculty :

the faculty student ratio is 1:45 in lectures an in labs it is around 1:5. Every proffesor around here is highly gualified who have done their phds from big institutes like iits and nits.they help us in academic and career aspects and available at any time.

Interview Experience :

i given my jee exam which let me getting admission into this institute.put your priorities in josaa counsellin g which is held every year after the jee advanced examination.prepare well foe jee and crack the exam and admit here.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
