Remarks :

Like every other thing this institution also has its own positives and very fewer negatives. The campus is very vast and enjoyable but there are many strict rules and regulations. There are many facilities in the campus and it is located in metro city Kochi.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The institution is affiliated to Kerala technical university aka KTU. The university has its own merits and demerits. The duration, of course, is four years and eight semesters. The institution and staffs are highly supportive in academics. There are eight semesters and during the end of each semester, the eir will be university exams. Other than those exams there will minimum two internal exams conducted by the institution in every semester.

Placement Experience :

It is one of the institutions that provide a higher number of placement opportunities in Kerala. Many highly reputed companies like Infosys, Bosch come for campus selections in every year. The staffs and institution are very aware of this. Internships are important while doing a professional degree. The university is demanding two internships. It is important to complete an internship and for completing they will grant certain points and credits.

College Events :

As like every other institution here also there are technical and cultural festivals and events. The name of the cultural fest is Bharatha and the name of the technical fest is Techkshetra. These are conducted in every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

As it is a private institution the fee structure is a little bit expensive. The institution has a lot of infrastructures and great ambiance. This institution has the best campus and infrastructure in Kerala. Annually the fees will be near to one lakh.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The institution provides a scholarship for talented and studious students. Currently, there is no loan facility given by the college. For those students who score higher marks and grades will get a number of scholarships.

Campus Life :

The institution also gives importance for the extracurricular activities sports. Those students will be granted with credits and points. The institution also conducts events in which other colleges from the rest of Kerala come to participate.

Alumni/Alumna :

There are good relationships between alumni and senior students. It is completely a ragging free campus. They are very helpful and also supportive. Many of the alumni are in higher positions. It is a great motivation for the students.

Admission :

Admission is purely based on merit. Those who are interested should have good rank in team entrance and 12 marks. Allotment for the fifty percent seats are done by the government and remaining by the management.

Faculty :

The faculties in the institution are highly educated and talented. Most of them are experienced very well supported. Unlike other institutions, the faculties are very keen on academics. They help the students to achieve their goals.

Placement Experience:

Yes,Students will get placement from 7th semester.Many companies like Infosys,Wipro,TCS etc come for placement.Most of the companies hire in bulk from the college.Lowest CTC was 300k annually and highest CTC was 1000k annually.Almost 60 percentage students are got placed from here.Apart from placement many students prepare for all india exams like GATE,SSC JE etc

Very Good University to study

Placement Experience:

The students from S6 are eligible for placement. Almost all the companies are IT-related companies. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant and UST visit the campus every year and hire a huge number of students. The average package is 4LPA with the highest being at almost 30LPA. Almost 60% of staff are getting placed. The CGPU provide training for aptitude and technical tests Also, some students get offers from good universities for higher education

Best college for pursuing engineering degree

Placement Experience:

Campus placements starts generally from the seventh semester in the fourth year. Nehru institutions have a lot of hold with multinational companies so a lot of companies like TCS, BPL, Amazon are offering placements to students who have no back papers. The highest package offered by companies is 9lakhs per year and the average salary is 4000/month. Mainly placements are offered to computer science engineering students comparatively.

Seeing St. Thomas through my eyes

Placement Experience:

The only student from the 4th year was eligible for campus placements. Every year nearly 88% of students got placed. Our batch was also not an exception. Most jobs were taken up by cse stream followed by our stream. Companies visited included Infosys, Cognizant Technology Solutions,ITC Infotech, Odessa Technologies, and others. The highest package of 5 lakhs was offered by Infosys.Cts offered 4 lakhs highest. The average package offered to all was 3 lakhs per annum.ITC offered 3.6 lakhs per annum. My plan after getting a degree was to join the job of CTS. Then I had dreams of an MBA in the future if possible since it would attract higher packages in the future. Many friends of mine got double offers. There were offers from. Sonodyne, Vodafone also. Since I got a job already,I didn't seat for Vodafone. Vodafone also offered a handsome package of 4 lakhs per annum.ZTE operations also took few students from our college

Remarks:

CET is one of the top colleges in the country. Faculties are the best. The college has the best placement records too. The location of the college is good too. Various fests are conducted to boost the cultural and technical skills of the students. I opted this course because I liked the course and our college contain the best faculties too. And the lab has good facilities where you can learn a lot.

Government College Of Engineering Kannur for a first year student

Remarks:

Has a good infrastructure with lots of trees and plants. Natural lighting is available so no need of artificial lighting Doesn't have an elevator. So it would be a problem for people in wheel chair. Less parking facilities
