Remarks :

For the eligibility 60% was required in the science stream. The application form is available on the Rajagiri website. Admission was based on the 12th and KEAM marks. The cut-off marks varies each year for the KEAM exam. With some practice the exam can be cracked easily.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have chosen Mechanical Engineering as it was my field of interest. The institution provides good lab facilities and provides theoretical knowledge as well. Subject related companies come here for hiring students and quite a lot of people get placements from this institution.

Class Size : 48Course Fees : INR 85000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The companies will start the intake of students in the sixth semester after the exams which consists of technical round, aptitude and interview along with group discussion. Companies like BOSCH, TCS, IBM, Peopleton, Fleet management have come here to hire the students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

All the fee structure and availability of scholarships can be accessed through the institutions official website. The fee is 85000RS and caution deposit of 1 lakh should be paid first. Scholarships like E-grants, sports and good rank in KEAM exams can get you a good scholarship.

Campus Life :

The campus provides various kind of activities like different clubs and sports facilities. There will be a technical fest and arts fest. They have an indoor badminton facility, basketball court, cricket ground and football ground. They have access to various journals and books in the library.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is provided by the college and the fee is Rs 91000 for the accomodation and food per year. We get non-veg food except on Fridays and the melas are pretty decent. Registration can be done in the official website of the institution.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
