The life in EFLU: fun

Dislikes

  • The hostel infrastructure is poor. There is not enough seats to accommodate every needy student

Course Curriculum Overview :

Though the teachers are good at their skills, but I feel that the university curriculum is not updated for the graduation and masters course. They don't offer much fruitful or sensible courses. But, when it comes to doing PhD, this is one of the best institutions in India, one can ever think of.

Internships Opportunities :

Though there isn't much internship opportunities have been offered here, but if someone is interested and go and talk to the professors, they bring opportunities for the students from their respective networks.

Placement Experience :

There are students from this campus, who got placed in good places and happy with their work-life. So, if someone wants to work in the area related to English language, this place has to offer quite well opportunities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As it is a central university, the fee is very less. Every student from every course have to pay a pea-sized amount. They are very much active on giving placements to the students in good places like Azim Premji. They even focuses on different scholarships so that the students can avail them.

Campus Life :

Because of very less number of students, there isn't any clubs to run, neither do we have any regular sports meet ups, but we often celebrate different cultural festivals as this campus consists of students from all over the India. The library has a lot of variety and a huge range of books to be offered to the students.

Admission :

The graduation and masters admission are done through CUET, but they are very strict about their Ph.D admissions. There is a entrance test happens along with a rigorous interview session to get selected for their research program.

Faculty :

The teachers share a very healthy relationship with the students. They are very approachable when it comes to any difficulties, related to course or life. Their way of teaching is more inclined towards practical applicability of theories, rather than focusing on conventional way of teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to pursue PhD from the university which has good grade from NAAC. My priority was Part Time phd course and Mangalayatan University, Aligarh offered that course. Faculty members are well qualified and knowledgeable.

Placement Experience:

Ph.D. scholars in their 3rd semesters are allowed to teach on the campus. They are paid from rs.350-1250 per class depending on their department. After the completion, of course, they also can offer you a permanent teaching job at their campus. The salary would be between 50k to 1lakh per month. I would want to teach on the campus after the completion of my degree.

For now, there's no information about getting any placement or something. But they do help you in providing the internships and getting enrolled in webinars. Though I was planning to pursue my M.A in counseling psychology.

Remarks:

University is good but bit of modernity in thinking is needed here. More exposure to experience based teaching is needed. But overall it is a good instituion to be in. Plus you will start loving varanasi.

Placement is very good for many branches and specially for computer science graduates and electrical graduates . For pg students placement is depend on the work of the field and depend on the job structure. In terms of general statically record of placement it is not hundred percent.
