Vasanta College for Women, popularly known as VCW BHU, is a women's college located in Rajghat, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1913, the college is affiliated to Banaras Hindu University (BHU). VCW BHU is recognised by the UGC and accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A+’ grade. It is one of the oldest colleges in the Banaras for Women and is spread over 300 acres of land. 

VCW BHU offers various UG, PG, and PhD programs in the streams of Arts, Commerce, and Social Sciences. Admission to all UG and PG courses is done through the CUET examination followed by counselling conducted by BHU. VCW BHU also offers Certificate/Diploma & Advanced Diploma programs under UGC Career Oriented Programmes and BHU Special Programme of Studies.

VCW BHU campus is fully well equipped with modern facilities such as a Library, Computer Lab, Museum, etc. The college is also well known for its Placements. It provides its students with recruitment options available, for both in corporate and public sectors.

VCW BHU offers 19 subjects in UG Programmes, 11 subjects in PG Programmes and PhD Programmes. For the Certificate, Diploma, and Advance Diploma, they have 2 courses for full-time programs and They also have a Part-time UG Diploma in French for 2 years, Diploma/Certificate Programmes under the BHU Special Programme of Studies and Programmes run by Edtech Company Young Skilled India. VCW BHU Admissions

VCW BHU admissions are done through the complete online process. To be eligible for UG courses at VCW BHU, candidates must have passed the 10+2 level with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the relevant disciplines. Candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks to be eligible for PG courses. Candidates seeking admission to any UG and PG programs must appear for the CUET UG and CUET PG examinations, respectively. The final selection will be done through the counselling process conducted by the BHU based on CUET scores. 

VCW BHU Application Process

Step 1: Go to the official Website of VCW BHU @vasantakfi.ac.in

Step 2: Under the Admission Tab click on Admission Form 

Step 3: Click Here to fill out the Admission Form 

Step 4: Select on Cpusre and enter your CUET No. then Click on the Verify.

Step 5: After the Data Verification, the admission form will open. 

Step 6: Fill in your Personal Details and Upload the Required Documents. 

Step 7: Click on Next to save your filled form 

Step 8: After Submitting the admission form, Go back to the Admission Form and from the Download option, Download your pre-filled Admission Form. 

Step 9: Take the Print Out of the Admission Form for submitting in the college office after the verification of your documents from the college admission committee.

• Printout of Programme allocation page (Status is showing locked)
• Photocopy of AADHAAR Card.
• Photocopy of 10th Mark Sheet.
• Photocopy of 12th Mark Sheet.
• Original Character Certificate (C.C.)
• Original Transfer Certificate (T.C. or C.L.C.)
• Photocopy of Income Certificate (SC, ST, OBC-Non Creamy Layer & EWS category

• Photocopy of Last Semester/Year Marks Sheet of Graduation (for B.Ed. & P.G.)

• Photocopy of Bank Passbook in the name of the student. 
• Contract form on Rs. 100/- Stamp Paper. (To be given by SC/ST category students of UP state only whose family income is less than 2.5 lakhs.

VCW BHU Cutoff 2024 (Expected)

VCW BHU cutoff for all UG and PG programs is based on scores obtained in the CUET examination. Candidates who secure equal or more marks than cutoff marks released by the university are offered admission. Course-wise CUET cutoff marks for general category candidates are as follows:

VCW BHU Campus Life 

VCW BHU campus is well equipped with facilities. They have a spacious and well-equipped library on campus which has approximately 47,442 books on Arts, Social Sciences,

Education and Commerce and Collection of Encyclopaedias. The ground floor of the Library has a reading area, a stack room and a computer lab. The First Floor has a Reference and Periodical section a Knowledge Centre that has more than forty computers with internet facility and three printers.4 Open Air Classes and 1 Campus Theatre are also present with a capacity of 2000 students. Vasanta Museum is also presented within the Campus. VCW BHU has a Large Auditorium known as Vasanta Sabhaghar with a capacity of 700 people. Apart from all these facilities, VCW BHU has different Student Clubs.

• Spectrum LGBTQIA: To support LGBTQIA+ and eliminate homophobia, transphobia and biphobia
• Manashakti: Provide Psychological assistance for the students 
• Photography Club: Students interested in Photography
• Road Safety Club: To make students responsible citizens and educate them about traffic rules, traffic regulations and related matters to ensure safety on the road
• Frénix: Club to promote the French Language 

Apart from the clubs, the College also Conducts the Annual Cultural Festival of the College known as JHANKAR. The Interfaculty Cultural Festival is known as Spandan. Varsha Mangal, Spicmacay, International Collaboration and Activities are also held.

VCW BHU Hostel

VCW BHU has 2 different hostels named Vasantashram - I and Vasantashram - II with accommodation of 150 and 70 girls respectively. Hostel allotments are done after the admissions on the basis of merit, distance and need. The seats in the hostel are limited and allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The students who want to live in the Hostel must fill out the Google form available with the Online Admission Form. The hostel has Health and Medical Care, Sports Grounds, Music, Dance and Fine Arts.
