Remarks :
Personally, I haven't been able to find anything bad in college. The education may not be world class, but the campus life and other experiences compensate for it.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Since this college is well known for Commerce and I also am studying Bcom so I will tell you about the commerce field. The subjects taught are quite basic to the requirement in commerce stream. The course is relevant and not research driven. But I would say that it's fair enough.
Placement Experience :
The college has good placement programmes and internship projects. Many big companies like Wipro, Infosys, HCL and other foreign companies come here for recruitment. Also, the college provides various internship programmes.
College Events :
The college hosts various types of events during the year. Some events are panache(main festival of college), Youth Fest, sports day and other commerce and management events. Not only these events but the college also celebrate festivals like Diwali, Lohri etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is a bit costlier than other Colleges in Panjab University. But fees are much less than the colleges of Delhi University. In the first year of BCom, I had to pay around 22000 as admission fees and around 30000 for the whole year in small amounts.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No, I didn't opt for scholarships or any Educational Loan. But the college provides concessions and scholarships to deserving students.
Campus Life :
The campus life of the college is one of the reasons why this college has a good reputation. The Gender ratio is really good (there are more girls in my class than boys). Talking about diversity, we have students not only from various regions of India but also from other countries like Afghanistan and Oman.
Alumni/Alumna :
On my first day of college, I didn't have any idea of where my classroom was. But the seniors were really good and helpful. We have various student unions serving students.
Admission :
I got admission into this college on the basis of my percentage score in the 12th class. I got 94% in the 12th class and it's enough to make it to this college. I just applied for the form online and then physical counseling took place and I was given admission after paying fees.
Faculty :
The faculty of the college is a perfect mix of age and gender. Experienced and fresher of teachers, all can be found in the college. This is really required in every college to build interest in classes. Educational qualifications of teachers are great.
