- Small Campus The Campus Of Iit Roorkee Is Small Sometimes It Feels Like Congested
Course Curriculum Overview :
It's 21 Departments. If We Talk About The Course Curriculum Then Its Well Maintened And Relevant To Tackle The Industry Needs. As The Curriculum Followed Here Is Still Old Curriculum But Some Professors Are Focusing To Change The Curriculum As The Old One Follows Old Patterns And Theory Mostly Not Hands On Experience. The Semester Is Divided Into 2 Parts Mid Sem And The End Sems. The Frequency Of Semester Is Somewhere Around 4 To 5 Months. The Difficulty Level Of Exams Depends On The Cousre Faculty Mostly Its Around Moderated To Tough Level.
Internships Opportunities :
For Internships, There Is A Dedicated Internship Season In Iit Roorkee Where Most Of The Top Companies Visit To Offer Internship To Students As Some Companies Uses Virtual Means For Hiring. Stipend Ranges From Rs30000 To 20Lakhs. Some Companies Even Offers Internships Of Around Rs 55Lakh Also.
Placement Experience :
As It's An Iit Placements Are Excellent. Every Year Top Mncs, Companies, And Psu Visit Our Campus For Placement Seasons. Placement Season Is Divided In 3 Phases Starts In The Last Week Of November. Various Companies Like Google, Apple, Microsoft, L&T, Goldman Sachs, Bmw, Audi Etc visit campus And Offer Anuaal Ctc Starting From 25Lpa And Goes Around 2Cr+. Around 90% of Students Get Whooping Offers Every Year. The Remaining 10% Opt For Higher Studies, Upsc Etc. Right Now I'M Preparing For Placements.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The 4 Year Btech Course Cost Around Somewhere 10 To 12 Lakhs At Iit Roorkee Wich Is Pretty Good If We Compare To Private Colleges. Financial Assistance Is Availabe To The Students Belonging To Ews And Sc/St Category. For Students Of Sc/St Category The Tution Fees Is Zero. For General And Obs Students It Cost Around 2 To 2.5 Lakh Every Year. There Is No Campus Employment Here At Iit Roorkee
Campus Life :
A Large Number Of Fests Held Every Year At Iit Roorkee Along With Cultural Tech And Sports Fest. The Annual Tech Fest Of Iit Roorkeee Cognizance Helds Every Year In The Month Of Month And Every Year Its Attracting Students From All The Colleges Of India And Tech Enthusiastic From All Over The Country. The Largest North India Culture Fest IS Thomso Happens Every Year In The Month Of October. At The Time Of Thomso College Feels Like Heaven With Non Stop Cultural Activites All Along The Day And Extravaganza Pronight At Night. Every Year A Large Of Students From All The Parts Of India Join Us In Thomso.
Hostel Facilities :
Here At Iit Roorkee We don't have Hostels We're Bhawans Like Jawahar Bhawan Rajendra Bhawan Sarojini Bhawan Etc. Most Of The Bhawans Are Old But the Condition Is Well Maintained. There Are 1, 2, And 3 Seaters Room In Bhawans And the College Provides Us Beds, Almirah, fan table And Chair. All The Basic Things Required Are Provided By The College Administration. We'Ve To Bring Our Own Mattress, Buckets, Etc. Mess Food Of Some Bhawans Are Pretty Good Even Iit Roorkee Bhawans Mess was Recently Reviewed By Fssai Team And Granted the Most Hygiene Hostel Mess. Menu Is Decided By Students. Bhawans Are Alloted At The Time Of Admission Only After Theta Students Have To Switch Every Year According To Their Respective Years. The Hostels Are Affordable It Cost Around 50000 To 60000 Years. As Iit Roorkee Has A Residental Campus No One Is Allowed To Stay Outside The Campus You are To Stay In Hostels Only.
Admission :
As It Is An Iit Obviously The Eligibility Is Clearing Jee Mains Followed By Jee Advanced. There Is No Application Form You To Apply For Josaa Counselling After Jee Advanced Exam Result Declaration. There Is a Reservation Policy For Obc, Sc, And St Students Also For Girls Candidates. The Jee Mains Exam Is Conducted Twice Every Year. When You Clear Jee Mains Exam You Have To Apply For Jee Advanced Exam And It's the Toughest Exam Not Just In India But In the Whole World. The College Studnet Supports Needs Improvement During The Time Josaa Counselling
Faculty :
The Students To Faculty Ratio Is Better Than The Private Colleges Who Rate Them As Top Colleges. If I Talk About Student To Faculty Ratio At Iit Roorkee Its Good. For Every Branch There Is Around 10+ Faculty'S So We Can Considered This Good And Also Better If We Compare It To Other Colleges. Faculty Is Well Educated If We Talk In The Terms Of Knowledge And Provides Good Support To All The Students Wheather In Terms Of Study'S Research Projects Etc And Along With That Faculty Also Helps Students To Deal With Mental And Academic Stress. In Shorts Some Proffesors Are Really Helpful And Freindly While Some Are Not.
