- Less on-site opportunities where students can learn first hand.
- Campus was still under construction so a lot was missed.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course is diverse and covers the different branches of business management from finance, marketing, Hr, personal development, data management, analytics and market overview. As the faculties are people working in MNCs or doing research in current day scenarios, the curiculum has true real world applications. quizzes and exams are mostly on surprise basis which keeps you on your feet al the time and the balance between assignments, projects and exams is sometimes overwhelming. One thing that can be better is the amount of opportunities where a student can get a real-time project with the companies while they are studying at the college. It can help them in getting better work experience.
Internships Opportunities :
Over 100 companies used to come with internship program. Some of the prominant companies include ICICI, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Ofbusiness, Cognizant, DS group etc. Most of the roles were in sales and marketing and it was a two month paid project with an average stipend of 30000 a month.
Placement Experience :
Placements are still growing comparing with older IIMs. Around half of the students got placed during the 3 day placement season. Rest got placed in the coming trimester. Usually we had 90-95 % placements even though the college reported 100%
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fee at my time from 2018-20 was 2 lakh per trimester which comes to 12 lacs for the course. Apart from this there is an additional hostel and mess charges which comes around 25000-30000 per trimester. Now the total fee has gone up around 20 lacs for the MBA program. There is a scholarship program for students belonging to poor families with a max allowed familiy income. There is a placement department and a team which conduts the placements during 5th and 6th trimester and the current average CTC offered is around 20 lacs.
Campus Life :
There are multiple clubs based on different interests and the academics. The classrooms have the state of the art facilities and the campus even though was not fully completed had all necessary faclities. Whether it is for sports, cutural or academic purposes, there were ameneties for all.
Hostel Facilities :
We were given single rooms with furniture like beds, study table, chair, wardrobes and AC. Also, in common facilities we had refrigerators, ovens and other kitchenette facilities. Registeration was done at the time of admission only.
Admission :
There is a 2 step and sometimes 3 step process for admission. First is the CAT (common aptitude test) and based on the percentile scored you get shortlisted for the interview round which is around 96 for the general category. You get selected based on the overall score with different weightage given to CAT score, Interview, work experience and X, XII and grad marks. The overall process is usually smooth but the gap between them is sometimes in months.
Interview Experience :
Did not have GD. Only interview. Questions regarding your educational background. Technical questions from your graduation. Why do you want to do an MBA? What are your future aspirations? They gave a topic and then you have to make a 3 min speech on the same. Prepared through onlice interview questions and material.
