Campus is not yet ready in this university and the new campus in Yanggang is still on process to complete
Too much traffic jam causing problem to reach department.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I opted for zoology because of its well known professor and excellent on going projects and research work The curriculum prepares us well as in this department some specialised subjects are taught,eg- immunology and Ecology, and benefits in knowing the Himalayas conservation. There are no areas of improvement as everything happens in well manared and on time. Exams are organised every week .

Class Size : 12Course Fees : INR 1160 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are often provided in the s last semester, and only for professional courses students like MBA, MCA etc. Currently i am not aware of the projects that are going on in the university but it is confirmed that they provide internship facilities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fees are well balanced and students of every family irrespective of poor and rich can get admission. Admission fees are around 6000-7000 Hostel admission is one time payment that is around 3000. Scholarship are available for meritorious students.and also given by NSP as per eligibility.

Campus Life :

Annual sports and cultural events are organised named as Romailo Su-Khim. A central library is provided along with a science Library. Where new books and journals are provided. Drama clubs, sports club, etc are also present for refresment

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel seperate for boys and girls are provided. And infact hostel for PhD scholars are also seperate. Meal quality is average. Hostel list are given out along with the admission list . Though I stay in hostel, I know some PGs that are available and also some rented house

Hostel Fee : INR 4000 per year

Admission :

Admission into this institute occurs through CUET entrance exam. One can get into this university if he/she has cleared the CUET entrance both for UG and PG courses. Application can be found in the Sikkim University official website. ST/SC /OBC quota are also available.
