- Fee structure. I think it’s a little more as compared to other gfti’s and nit’s
- Faculty: the faculties are not so great at hbtu when it comes to interacting and clearing doubts.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum for each program typically includes a mix of theoretical courses, practical sessions, laboratory work, projects, and seminars. Every semester there are 2 mid semester examinations along with one end sem exam. The lab and viva also go hand in hand
Internships Opportunities :
The college starts to offer on campus internships from 3rd year itself. Student can apply for the various internships according to their skills and field of interest. All the internships are paid. Various companies that visits campus for internships are: maruti Suzuki, Berger paints, Asian paints etc There's no problem in getting an internship form the college
Placement Experience :
Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) in Kanpur is known for its strong placement record. While specific placement statistics may vary from year t year, here is a representation of the placement statistics: Highest Placement: The highest placement offered at HBTU has been reported as 36 LA (Lakhs Per Annum). This figure represents the highest salary package offered to a student during the placement season. • Average Placenfent: The average placement package at HBTU Is typically around 9 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum). This average figure represents the medlan salary package received by the graduating batch across varlous disciplines. Hbtu has one of the greatest alumni network this of in any case I fail to grab an on campus offer I will surely apply for off campus and I'm pretty sure in whichever company ill apply I may encounter an alumni of our college
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The current tuition fee for BTech is 135000. The total cost that I'm paying every year is 195000 which includes tuition fees, hostel and mess charges. There's no such tuition fee raiser policy as it's a government institution so the fee hike completely depends upon the state government. The college is very deemed in providing scholarships and other financial aids to its students. One of the most popular scholarship for which the students are eligible is UP scholarship. Apart from this, university also provides tuition fee wavier seats in which students from backward backgrounds get a seat free of cost and they don't have to pay tuition fees.
Campus Life :
In addition to the cultural fest Adhyay, the campus life at Harcourt Butier Technical University (HBTU) in Kanpur is enriched by various clubs and societies catering to diverse interests. These clubs, organized under different sub-councils, play a crucial role in enhancing student extracurricular experiences. Some of the prominent sub councils include: 1. Cultural Sub-Council: This sub-council focuses on promoting cultural activities such as music, dance, drama, and fine arts. 2. Technical Sub-Council: The technical sub-council is dedicated to fostering innovation, creativity, and technical excellence among students. Literary Sub-Council: The literary sub-council encourages literary pursuits such as writing, debating. public speaking, and poetry. Sports Sub-Council: The sports sub-council promotes physical fitness, sportsmanship, and work among students. It organizes inter-college sports.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility is pretty decent. The first year hostel is 3 bedded that means you'll have to share your room with two other people. The girls hostel are all in the east campus where the all the classes take place while most of the boys hostel are in west campus( 3kms away from the main campus) leaving the first year which is also located in the east campus. You can apply for hostels in the beginning of The college itself. The meal quality is also pretty decent. They try to give you à nutritious meal as per the budget they have.
Admission :
The admission process was based on jee score. Hbtu conducts its own counselling and students get admission on the basis of their jee score There are 3 normal rounds, one additional round and around 1-2 on spot counselling rounds. The application process starts every year after jee entrance examination. There are various reserved categories such as obc, sc and st. They get higher cutoffs as compared to the general student.
