Low Support and motivation for Sports in this college. It's worse than many low tier colleges

Course Curriculum Overview :

Being an Electronic and Communication Engineering Student, I can say the curriculum is quite good according to content about electronics and communication. It's includes every basic things such as Transistors to High level things like Digital processing topics . We have 2 terms of examination per a semester. Which are with a time period of 1.5 months between them . The difficulty level depends on subject and the faculty who teaches it.

Class Size : 200Course Fees : INR 70000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are basically for students of 3rd year. Many companies come to college for placements and they conduct internship test and interviews along with placements.companies like P&G,Tata,Goldman Sachs and many other provide high stipends of above a lakh per month.

Placement Experience :

Our college is one of the few colleges with above 95 percent of campus placement.The students studying in 7th semester and 8th semester will be eligible for placements in which they have to show their skills and secure placement.As per I know the highest package was around 80LPA. Overall it's good college for placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fee for each semester will be around 70k for General students and fees reimbursement will be applied for students with reservation.The hostel fees per semester will be around 25k for every student regardless of their status . However students with significant financial issues will be given assistance. E- grants scholarship is provided for students of Kerala state with sc/st reservation.

Campus Life :

My overall experience with campus life is the fests conducted here are very popular fests in southern India. They hold the name of our college.We have 2 main fests in which Tathva is Technical fest and South Indian biggest cultural fest RAGAM.And many other events under this fests happen throughout the year. The sports and extra curricular activities like NSS and Value education plays a key role to maintain human values in our college. Although there is not much support given for Sports ,the players from every sport give their best to gain recognition.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities here are quite good compared many Govt recognised colleges. A total of 13 hostels including 3 mega hostels are filled with students according to the program they are in.( Boys ,girls , BTech, Mtech, PhD).The fees for semester for hostel and mess will be around 30k.we have many messes too. Each hostel have a mess with it. The food quality can be given an average rating.

Hostel Fee : INR 35000 per year

Admission :

After appearing for Jee mains 4 times with gap of 1 month and scoring 91 percentile, I have entered Josaa counciling which helps students to get seats at IITs , NITs and IIITs with Other GFTIs . After 1st round of Josaa I got seat at NIT Calicut in ECE branch.By having reservation benefits I was able to get in ECE which would have gone to other lower branch without it.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
