Remarks

The admission process for my course had several components, including eligibility criteria, application procedures, entrance exams, reservation benefits, and areas for improvement. Eligibility of the Course: The eligibility criteria for the course were clearly outlined on the university's website. It included requirements such as a bachelor's degree in a related field, minimum GPA, and sometimes specific prerequisite courses. Application Procedure: The application form was available on the university's official website. Applicants had to fill out personal details, academic history, and upload required documents such as transcripts, statement of purpose, and letters of recommendation. The application fee varied depending on the category of the applicant (general, reserved, or international). The application dates were typically announced well in advance, allowing applicants to prepare their documents accordingly. Reservation Benefits: Reservation benefits were provided to candidates

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum I chose was highly relevant and comprehensive, covering key aspects that influenced my decision to pursue it. However, there were also areas for improvement in terms of preparing students for real-world applications and refining teaching methods. Relevance and Comprehensiveness: The specific aspects of the curriculum that attracted me to the course included its focus on practical skills, industry-relevant topics, and interdisciplinary approach. The curriculum was designed to provide a solid foundation in theoretical concepts while also emphasizing practical applications through hands-on projects, case studies, and internships. This combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience was crucial for preparing students for real-world challenges and opportunities. Furthermore, the course offered a wide range of elective courses and specialization options, allowing students to tailor their learning experience according to their interests and career goals.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for my education included tuition fees, service fees, and other compulsory charges, with policies regarding tuition fee increases, availability of scholarships, financial aid, and campus employment opportunities. Tuition Fee Increase Policy: The university had a tuition fee increase policy that determined the regularity and rate of such hikes. Typically, tuition fee increases occurred annually or biennially, with the exact rate of increase being subject to approval by the university's governing body or board of trustees. The rate of increase was usually influenced by factors such as inflation, rising operating costs, infrastructure development, and changes in government funding. Complete Cost of Education: The complete cost of my education included tuition fees, service fees (such as library fees, laboratory fees, and technology fees), and other compulsory charges (such as registration fees, student activity fees, and health insurance fees). Additionally, there were

Campus Life

3

My overall experience with campus life was enriching, with a strong focus on social interaction, club involvement, and access to top-notch infrastructure. Annual and Technical Festivals: The campus was vibrant with various annual and technical festivals held throughout the academic year. Among the notable events were the annual cultural fest "Culturama," typically held in February, which showcased a wide array of cultural performances, exhibitions, and competitions. Additionally, the technical festival "TechFest" took place in September, featuring workshops, guest lectures, and competitions related to science, technology, and innovation. Library Resources: The library on campus provided an extensive range of books, journals, and electronic resources to support students' academic and research endeavors. The collection covered diverse subjects and disciplines, catering to the needs of students and faculty across various departments. The library was also equipped with modern facilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
