SVCE Review

Dislikes

  • Strict, roads need to be improved, should become more of student centric rather than money centric.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose engineering in computer Science due to my interest in the field of I T, their are around 15 faculty in our department all faculties are well qualified as they have completed their pg and phd, one semester is around 3-4 months and as it is from vtu the paper is quite difficult but it's easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities :

Specifically college doesn't provide any internship, it will be provided by the company which you get placed , if you are not placed yet then you can approach companies or organisation to get internship which is compulsory as per vtu curriculum to do a internship

Placement Experience :

Few but good placement opportunities is provided by college companies like nokia , Johnson control has hired students from our college I have planned to do job after completing my degree. The cut off to sit in placements is 7-7.5 cgpa

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure through entrance exam is different from management The fees through entrance: 1L-1.5L/yr Management fees : 1st year: 3L from 2nd - 4th year :2L/yr There are few scholarships available Scholarship from Karnataka government: SSP scholarship Scholarship from central government: NSP scholarship Im in my pre final semester still I have not placed

Campus Life :

Campus is well equipped with library , which consists many journals and books, classroom is equipped with led screens Coming to fests , every 2 years a fest called kalavaibhava is organised and a technical fest called shrushti udyuktha is also organised every year Many clubs are their (both technical and non technical) you can join according to your interest. A good canteen facility is available.

Admission :

Eligibility is pcm in 12th Svce Bangalore website Reservation available through the entrance exam I Should write an entrance exam such as kcet, comedk in order to get admission otherwise you get admission through the management quota

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. From 3 rd year, students are eligible to sit in the placements. Most IT companies visit the college like Accenture, TCS, Amazon, cognizant, etc. Few core companies also came like Texas instruments, kpit, global foundries, Bosch, etc. The average package is 4.5 LPA and the highest is 22 LPA for my branch. 60% of people in my department got placement.

Placement Experience:

In the final year, students can sit for placements. There were many IT companies like Capgemini, Mindtree, EY, EXL, Epsilon, etc. For mechanical only 3 companies they are L&T, Quest global, Apex auto. Placements were good for CS/IS branches.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the final year. A few companies visited when I was studying about 12-15 MNCs companies visited all were product-based and I think the highest package was 7.5 LPA. As the Corona pandemic started college was closed and companies didn't visit afterward. There is less number of companies visiting our college all are looking more for Cs graduates less or no EC core companies visit. I am planning to pursue M tech

Remarks:

It is positive. Candidates appearing in the 12th exams in 2019 can apply. Diploma candidates can also apply but only for admission in IITs. There is no minimum mark required to apply for JEE Main. Candidates have to secure 75% (65% for SC/ST) in 12th exams or be in top 20 percentile of the respective board.
